Jamie Hope

height: 180cm

weight: 76kg

D.O.B: 11-01-2004

Leagues: Coates Talent League Boys

STRENGTHS:

+ Scoreboard impact
+ Athleticism
+ Aerial ability

IMPROVEMENTS:

- Consistency
- Defensive game

Somewhat overshadowed by higher accumulating and higher scoring Sandringham teammates, Jamie Hope has been a valuable contributor to the NAB League premiers with his athleticism in the forward half providing a spark whenever he got the ball. Averaging 11.3 disposals and 3.5 marks, remarkably the forward booted 1.5 goals per game.

Hope went scoreless in just one of his 11 NAB League outings, and goalless in only one other, with his conversion in front of the sticks an appealing trait. He slotted 16.11 from 11 games in what was his first season in Dragons colours, already showing a high level of development from Round 1 until the Grand Final.

Hope has someway to go with his consistency between quarters and games, with his best performances very impressive, and some of his lesser games on the other end of the spectrum. With his consistency, Hope could also improve with his general defensive work, pushing to apply more pressure and tackles to allow him to impact in more areas of the game. His size and lack of defensive pressure may work against him, but Hope has the offensive nous to do a lot of damage inside 50 if given a chance.
