Without a doubt the Manly-Warringah Wolves were the best represented side, and the only one to have more than a solitary representative. After losing in the first round, the Wolves bounced back to win a three-point thriller over North Shore Bombers, lead by London Ashcroft<\/strong> and Hannah Woolf.<\/strong> The pair were both named among the best, with Asha Turner Funk<\/strong>, Jamie Saggers<\/strong> and Olivia Cameron<\/strong> also playing in the match in what turned out to be an important, albeit inaccurate, win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Across the rest of the league there were just the two representatives running around, with Pennant Hills Demons moving to 2-0 on the season thanks to a 27-point victory over the winless Macquarie University. Swans Academy member Grace Painting<\/strong> played in that contest for the Demons. Meanwhile Southern Power – missing AFLW Academy member Dakota Mason<\/a> – suffered a heavy 74-point loss to Sydney University, though GIANTS Academy’s Kiahana Davis White<\/strong> was named amongst the best for the Power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In other results, the East Coast Eagles continued their dominant run with a whopping 63-point win over UTS Bats, whilst the Inner West Magpies – without their three Swans Academy representatives – still got over the like against UNSW-ES Bulldogs by eight points to remain undefeated in season 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Gungahlin Jets 0.1 (1) defeated by Queanbeyan Tigers 11.11 (77) Just one of the GIANTS Academy representatives took to the field in the AFL Canberra Premier Women’s Division. Grace Read<\/strong> played for Belconnen during the Magpies heartbreaking one-point loss to Ainslie Tricolours. However former NSW\/ACT representative Jayde Hamilton<\/a> had another big game. The hard inside midfielder dominated for Queanbeyan Tigers to be named best on ground in the 76-point thrashing over Gungahlin Jets. Her sister and AFLW Academy member Cynthia Hamilton<\/a> was not out there for the win.
