FOUR regions have contributed at least three players each to our NAB League Team of the Week for Round 11, after impressive wins respectively. Check out who made the full 24-man squad, and three emergency spots below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A brilliant performance from Greater Western Victoria (GWV) over-ager Hamish Sinnott<\/a> saw him earn Player of the Week honours in Round 11. The midfielder-defender was prolific in his time on-ball against the Northern Knights, racking up 34 touches and booting the game-sealing goal in term four. His ability to accumulate possessions and make good of them with damaging delivery on the attack made him a lock as our Team of the Week captain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n DEFENDERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Split evenly between mainstays and fresh faces, our hypothetical back six contains a good variety of talent. Oakleigh’s Jed Rule<\/a> and Murray’s Ryan Eyers<\/a> continue to dominate the airways and again feature in the key position posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In a pocket, Tasmanian bottom-ager Arie Schoenmaker<\/a> earns his place once again having stood out in the Devils’ defence, while Gippsland’s Joel Scholtes<\/a> was difficult to overlook having racked up 30 touches in a narrow win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rounding out the backline are a couple more Country prospects. Dandenong Stingrays utility Ned Moodie<\/a> served a reminder of his talent having not turned out for the Stingrays since Round 4, while Bendigo’s Malik Gordan<\/a> had plenty to do in a side which was heavily beaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n MIDFIELDERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With Sinnott at the heart of midfield this week, there is some handy depth surrounding him. Fellow over-ager Mitchell Moschetti<\/a> was terrific as Gippsland kept its undefeated streak alive, while Tasmanian Heath Ollington<\/a> also had a big day out in the Devils’ barnstorming victory on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Out on the wings are a pair of Metro players who featured in the same game, namely Eastern’s Lachlan Reidy<\/a> and Calder’s Tom O’Sullivan<\/a>. Both stuffed the stats sheet on the outside, as did Sandringham tall Ben Andrews<\/a> in the ruck, earning this week’s starting role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FORWARDS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There’s a wide range of age brackets represented in the Round 11 forwardline, from 2006-born talent Cody Anderson<\/strong>, to 2003-born bigman Fletcher Hart<\/a>. The former is joined by Eastern Ranges teammate Connor Smith<\/a> at half-forward, who four-goal GWV Rebels heroes Declan McGuigan<\/a> and William White<\/a> slot into the pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Capping off the front six in style is Harrison Jones<\/a>, whose breakout performance saw him boot a round-high five goals against Oakleigh. Having previously only registered one major in eight NAB League outings, it is fair to say he had a day out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n INTERCHANGE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There are plenty of players unlucky to have missed out on a starting spot, who were undeniable for interchange selections. In the Dandenong-Oakleigh clash, Kade De La Rue<\/a> and Will Sexton<\/a> locked horns in the engine room and both feature, while Murray pair Joeve Cooper<\/a> and Nicholas Quigg<\/a> bring the Bushies’ representation up to four players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite their respective teams going down, Matthew Foley<\/a> (Calder) and Matthew Ryan<\/a> (Northern) both worked hard through midfield and got their hands on the ball plenty of times to earn their spots.
