ROUND 2 produced entertaining round of AFL Women’s action on the weekend, and plenty of star performances. We highlight a bunch of them with a recap of who leads the key statistical categories at this early point in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a pair of younger stars leading the way on the average disposal count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Giants star Alyce Parker<\/a> and Cat Amy McDonald<\/a> have both registered an average of 26.5 disposals a game thus far this season, with Anne Hatchard<\/a> just behind on 25. Both Monique Conti<\/a> and Jasmine Garner<\/a> have an average disposal count for the season of 24.5 and round out the top five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Taking a look at the inside 50s, and it is a wide variety of players who occupy the top five places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anne Hatchard<\/a> leads the way with an average of six, followed by Claudia Whitfort<\/a> and Garner with an average of 5.5 a game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rebecca Webster<\/a> and Georgia Patrikios<\/a> round out the top five with an average of five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Moving across to the rebound 50s, and it is Chelsea Biddell<\/a> who leads the way with an average of 8.5 rebound 50s a game, followed by Hawk Catherine Brown<\/a> with an average of seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next on the list is Bianca Jakobsson<\/a> with 6.5, followed by Ella Heads<\/a> with five and Tarni Evans<\/a> with 4.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are a few players who have proven to be quite the tackling machines this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ebony Marinoff<\/a>, Tilly Lucas-Rodd<\/a> and Tarni White<\/a> have all landed an average of 10.5 tackles a game thus far, followed by Aisling McCarthy<\/a> with an average of 9.5 and Maria Moloney<\/a> with an average of nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After her brilliant debut, Eilish Sheerin<\/a> still leads the intercept possessions count with an average of 11.5 a game, followed by Stacey Livingstone<\/a>, Natalie Grider<\/a> and Laura Pugh<\/a> who all have an average of nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Libby Birch<\/a> rounds out the top five with an average of 8.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Moving across to the metres gained category, and it\u2019s Chelsea Biddell<\/a> who leads the way with an average of almost 400m gained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Garner (378.6m), Madison Prespakis<\/a> (376.1m), Sarah Hosking<\/a> (355.5m) and Marinoff (350m) round out the rest of the top five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The clearance queens of the AFLW are spread right across the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Garner is the queen of this category at the moment, currently with an average of eight clearances a game. Kiara Bowers<\/a> is second with an average of seven, followed by Prespakis on an average of 6.5 and Breann Moody<\/a> and Ellie Blackburn<\/a> on an average of six. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally taking a look at the goal kicking tally, and it is still Kate Shierlaw<\/a> who leads the way, followed by Greta Bodey<\/a>, Ashleigh Woodland<\/a>, Darcy Vescio<\/a> and Courtney Hodder<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\nInside 50s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
