OAKLEIGH Chargers have produced the most draftees for the 2022 AFL Draft with a total of 10 players landing on AFL lists this week. The Chargers finished ahead of Sandringham Dragons (seven players) and Gippsland Power (five), while West Adelaide and Tasmania Devils (four each) recorded the most AFL draftees outside of Victorian clubs. Three representatives from Claremont and East Perth saw the two West Australian clubs share the top honours in that state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the local clubs who have overseen the development of player prior to hitting the elite junior levels, Surrey Park was the biggest producer of talent this year. The Panthers had three players picked up in top five selection Elijah Tsatas<\/strong>, as well as fellow Oakleigh graduates, Max Gruzewski<\/strong> and Bailey Macdonald<\/strong>. North Ballarat Football Netball Club had two – James Van Es<\/strong> and Hugh Bond<\/strong> – while Palmerston Magpies had twins, Alwyn Davey Jr<\/strong> and Jayden Davey<\/strong> both land at Essendon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
