Trailing by seven points at half-time, the Knights kicked 5.4 to 0.0 after the main break to run away with the 7.6 (48) to 3.3 (21) and hand the Cannons their third loss in four games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT:<\/strong> Teresia Koliavu<\/a> (Northern Knights)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In just her second game, the 2007-born ruck had a breakout game, picking up 13 disposals, 19 hitouts, four marks, four inside 50s and booted a goal to have an influence around the ground. She stepped up to the plate in the absence of Lauren Jatczak<\/strong> and took the number one ruck role aplomb and helped provide a marking target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom-age midfielder Zoe Hargreaves<\/a> (27 disposals, eight tackles and seven inside 50s) was busy all game, with fellow midfielders Suwindi Buckley<\/a> and Tahlia Plunkett<\/a> finding plenty of the ball. Up forward Olivia Jesser<\/a> booted 3.2, while Hannah Scott<\/a> tried hard in defence. Despite missing most of its leadership group and key players, the Devils stepped up to make the most of their chances early and then held on to bounce back from a loss the week before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT:<\/strong> Jasmine Sowden<\/a> (Gippsland Power)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The clear best on ground despite being in a losing side, Sowden went to work picking up a career-high 30 touches for the Power. After 22 disposals against the Cannons in Round 8, she went better with 30 touches, five marks, four inside 50s, four rebound 50s and 11 tackles, while also kicking four behinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasmania Devils had an even spread across the board with Harriet Bingley<\/a> and Mackenzie Williams<\/a> both picking up 25 touches, Bingley worked hard for seven marks and three rebound 50s, while Williams spent time further afield for 11 marks, seven inside 50s and seven rebound 50s. Mia Anderson<\/a> and Meg Harrison<\/a> were other prominent players for the Devils. For the Power, Ash Centra<\/a>, Ella Stoddart<\/a> and Amber Schutte<\/a> mopped up well, while Alisha Molesworth<\/a> kicked a goal from 24 touches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading by 12 points at quarter time, the Chargers booted 2.6 to 0.1 after that with 40 inside 50s to 22, to win 5.9 (39) to 1.2 (8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Backing up a couple of big games in the fortnight leading up to the clash, Tallariti was again prominent against the Ranges, collecting 27 disposals, four marks, three tackles, three inside 50s and four rebound 50s. She was the top ball-winner for the match, and showed her capacity to read the play well and get into the right spots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oakleigh had a plethora of options with Sarah Poustie<\/a> and Jacinta Baxter<\/a> winning 20-plus touches, while Maggie Mahony<\/a> and Chloe Bown<\/a> also lively in the win. Up forward, Emma McDonald<\/a> booted 2.2 from 12 disposals and two marks to add to her season tally. The Dragons produced their best performance of the season against the winless Jets, kicking five goals to nil in the opening term, and finished on 12.5 (77) to 1.4 (10).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earning our Player of the Week nomination, McKay was a clear best on ground with 28 disposals, two marks, eight inside 50s and three goals. The Carlton father-daughter selection looms as one to watch for next year, not only able to win the ball in the midfield, but also hit the scoreboard as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandringham Dragons had plenty of contributors with ruck Ruby Dale<\/a> (18 disposals, four marks, 17 hitouts and two goals) also impressive. Cameron Millias<\/a> also kicked a couple of goals from 13 disposals, while Scout Howden<\/a> (21 disposals) and Olive McLean<\/a> (15 disposals, one goal) were also among the bigger ball-winners. For the Jets, Sierra Grieves<\/a> maintained her form with 23 touches, four marks, six tackles, five inside 50s and two rebound 50s.
