For one team \u2013 Port Melbourne \u2013 it is one final chance to tune up and fix any issues before it hits finals after booking their place last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The weekend\u2019s action begins nice and early tomorrow in Williamstown with the Seagulls hosting Geelong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The equation for the Seagulls is simple \u2013 win and they are in the finals for the first time ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Geelong\u2019s equation is a little less straightforward, with a win by itself no guarantee of finals. Small wins along the way and the draws may come back to bite the Cats in the end even if they get the chocolates tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both sides have brought in some experience and youth this week, highlighted by the returns of Eliza Straford<\/a> and Bre Beckley<\/a> for their respective sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An hour later up the freeway Carlton will be hosting Darebin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If Carlton win, particularly if they win big, finals should be on the cards. They may be outside the top six at the moment but their percentage is healthier than many of the teams around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Darebin on the other hand will be looking to put out one last performance to be proud of as they finish off a tough season they would probably rather forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Madison Katerelos<\/a> replaces Ava Jordan<\/a> for the Blues this week, while Bec Goring<\/a> is one of three inclusions for Darebin while Steph<\/a> <\/a>Dickens<\/a> is one of the omissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Game three tomorrow sees Windy Hill host a game for the first time this year as the Bombers battle to keep their title defence alive against the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite being the reigning premiers, the Bombers find themselves in a similar situation as the Cats, but their percentage is significantly poorer than Geelong\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jayda Richardson<\/a> replaces Eleanor Cornish<\/a> for the Bombers this week, while Mikayla Barnes<\/a> is one of four changes for the Bulldogs in their final outing of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Half an hour later on the other side of town the Hawks will be hosting the Saints in a true do or die clash. The winner will play finals, the loser has to hope results go their way to ensure they do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Both sides have not made too many changes this week. Jess Trend<\/a> is the only inclusion for the Hawks, while Kim Ebb<\/a> are Rebecca Neaves<\/a> are the only inclusions for the Saints. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tomorrow\u2019s final clash is the North Melbourne against Collingwood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If Collingwood win, finals it will be for them. North however need to win and win big in order to make finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brooke Slaney<\/a> is one of three inclusions for the Kangaroos this week, as is Rene Caris<\/a> for the Magpies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sunday\u2019s single game is the one with the least riding on it out of the whole weekend as Casey host Port Melbourne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The game has had a late venue change to Trevor Barker Oval, but will be played between a Casey side out of finals contention and a Port side who are the only side who already know they are playing finals this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Emma Horne<\/a> is one of four inclusions for Casey this week, as is Kate Adams<\/a> for the Borough.
