The Devils booted 1.9 (15) to 0.2 (2) in the first term, before finding their kicking boots after that and kicking 7.6 to 0.0 to run out 8.15 (63) to 0.2 (2). The home side controlled play with 70 more disposals and 33 more inside 50s in a commanding performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tasmanian over-ager continued her strong season with a standout performance racking up 20 disposals and laying seven tackles. Perhaps her most impressive trait from the game was her attacking mindset with 11 inside 50s sand willing her side to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belbin had plenty of contributors on her side, with AFLW Academy member Georgia Clark<\/a> booting 2.4 from 22 disposals and clunking four marks. Mackenzie Williams<\/a> (18 disposals, six marks and six rebound 50s), Mackenzie Ford<\/a> and Sophie Strong<\/a> all impressed. Alice Voss<\/a> stood out for the Bushrangers with 22 disposals and laying 13 tackles, while Majella Day<\/a> (33 disposals, 10 rebound 50s) and Molly McLaren<\/a> also worked hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STANDOUT: <\/strong>Molly Walton<\/a> (GWV Rebels)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The GWV Rebels midfielder was everywhere during her side’s impressive win over the Northern Knights, collecting 28 disposals, six marks, three tackles, four inside 50s and two rebound 50s. Her determination in midfield help lead the Rebels forward and she worked hard to put her body on the line time and time again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with Walton, marking targets up opposite ends in Claire Mahony<\/a> and Millie Lang<\/a> both impressed, working hard to impact the game. Mahony booted 2.2 from 14 disposals and clunked 10 marks in a low-scoring contest, while Lang was reliable as always in defence. Lily Jordan<\/a> and Tyla Crabtree<\/a> also found plenty of the football. For the Knights, Zoe Hargreaves<\/a> had a team-high 22 disposals, while sister Phoebe<\/a> kicked a goal from 20 disposals. Holly Ridewood<\/a> also caught the eye for the home team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div>\nBooting the first four goals of the match, Eastern Ranges raced out to a 26-2 lead midway through the second term, and that was enough to power clear of Gippsland Power. While the Power hit back earl in the fourth term to close the gap to under 20 points, the Ranges steadied with the last three majors to run out .4 (58) to 3.3 (21) winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT: <\/strong>Laura Stone<\/a> (Eastern Ranges)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doing plenty across the ground in an all-round performance, Stone booted two goals from 21 touches and took six marks to be a dominant attacking player. After a brilliant display for Vic Metro against South Australia, Stone followed up with another outstanding effort against the Power to help the Ranges to another win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stone was among a host of impressive ball winners for the Ranges, with Indigo Linde<\/a> (25 disposals, five marks, four tackles and four inside 50s) and Hayley McLaughlin<\/a> (21 disposals, six marks) the tp ones. Forwards Georgia Knight<\/a>, Alyssia Pisano<\/a> and Georgie Brisbane<\/a> all kicked two goals as well. For the Power, Ash Centra<\/a> was again a headache for the opposition, finishing with 20 disposals, 10 marks and a goal, while Amber Schutte<\/a> and Ella Stoddart<\/a> found plenty of the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div>\nDespite trailing at quarter time, Geelong Falcons were able to run over the top of Western Jets to bounce back from a rare loss and win by 26 points on the weekend. The Jets booted 2.0 to 1.1 in the first term, but the Falcons scored six of the next seven goals to put up and unassailable lead and win, 9.2 (56) to 5.0 (30).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT: <\/strong>Sierra Grieves<\/a> (Western Jets)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a battle of the two highest production players throughout the full season, Grieves won the battle marginally. Racking up 37 disposals and booting three goals to go with her five marks, six tackles, six inside 50s and three rebound 50s, she was sensational in trying to keep her side in the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geelong Falcons ball-winner Sara Howley<\/a> had the last laugh though, being on the winning side and managing 37 disposals, six marks, eight inside 50s, eight tackles and one goal. She was well supported by ruck Hayley Peck<\/a> (39 hitouts from 17 disposals), while Chantal Mason<\/a> and Bella Gilham<\/a> both kicked three goals in the win. For the Jets, Kiera Leare<\/a> and Kiera Whiley<\/a> worked hard all game through the middle and Sasha Nelson<\/a> kicked two goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><\/div>\nIt was touted as a one-sided contest and it ended up as one as Dandenong Stingrays slammed home 25 goals to storm to a record 157-point victory over Bendigo Pioneers. The Stingrays were inaccurate last time out against the Pioneers in a 107-point victory, and with Bendigo missing some quality players, the Stingrays ran rampant, booting eight goals in the first term and then finishing on 25.8 (158) to 0.1 (1) in wet conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT: <\/strong>Sophie Butterworth<\/a> (Dandenong Stingrays)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earning our Player of the Week, the top-age forward booted five goals from 15 disposals and four marks. She was the most dominant player inside 50 in the game, as the Stingrays had no shortage of options for targets and goalscoring chances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
OTHERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unsurprisingly, there was an array of Stingrays all lining up to be in the bests, with Jemma Reynolds<\/a> (29 disposals, two goals), Kayla Dalgleish<\/a> (29 disposals, one goal), Nikita Harris<\/a> (28 disposals) and Meg Robertson<\/a> (24 disposals, two goals) were all dominant in the victory. On the scoreboard, debutant Claire Quigley<\/a> and Zoe Besanko<\/a> both kicked three goals. It was a tough day for the Pioneers, with Bryde O’Rourke<\/a> and Lexi Moss<\/a> their best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dragons kicked the only two goals of the first half, and that was enough to do it, despite the Chargers getting back into the contest in the second half. In what was only the Chargers’ second loss of the season, their metropolitan rivals got up, 2.9 (21) to 2.4 (16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STANDOUT: <\/strong>Sophie McKay<\/a> (Sandringham Dragons)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a purple patch of form at the moment, McKay racked up another best on ground performance and five votes in our Rookie Me Central Medal, following a game-high 26 disposals against the Chargers. She kicked a goal and was busy around the stoppages, using her clean hands to full advantage in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with McKay, other Vic Metro representative Emily Gough<\/a> had a good day out with 18 disposals and six marks, while the class of Daisy Flockart<\/a> and Isabel Bacon<\/a> shone through. For the Chargers, defender Lucy Cronin<\/a> was inspirational again, while Chloe Bown<\/a> and Emma McDonald<\/a> were also among the best in defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
