EVEN though the 2023 AFL Women’s season has not finished yet for four clubs, for others they have already started thinking ahead to 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Magpies have not made any changes to their playing list as of yet but have made a significant change to their offseason crew, letting go of senior coach Steve Symonds<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Symonds first took the helm of the Pies in 2020, leading the sides to finals every year apart from 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite making finals, the Bombers have already started making changes to their list. They have made a pair of delistings, delisting Joanne Doonan<\/a> and Leah Cutting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As well as the delistings, the Bombers have made one addition to their list. They signed 18 year-old midfielder Amy Gaylor<\/a> from the Calder Cannons as part of the Pre-Signing Period on offer to the four most recent additions to the AFLW competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n GWS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n GWS has also been busy this offseason. The Giants have announced four delistings, with Tait Mackrill<\/a>, Grace Hill<\/a>, Tess Cattle<\/a> and Zara Hamilton<\/a> all not offered a new contract for next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hawthorn<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Hawks have been one of the busiest sides so far this offseason. Hawthorn signed three Under 18 players as part of the Expansion Pre-Signing Period \u2013 midfielders Laura Stone<\/a> and Hayley McLaughlin<\/a>, and ruck\/forward Jess Vukic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They have also made some delistings, not offering contracts to inaugural Hawks Sarah Perkins<\/a> and Janet Baird<\/a>. They are also after a new coach after Bec Goddard<\/em><\/strong> announced her shock retirement last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All of this has happened after Tegan Cunningham<\/a>, Tamara Luke<\/a>, Akec Makur Chuot<\/a> and Catherine Brown<\/a> all announced their retirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Port Adelaide has also been a busy bee this offseason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Power have made five delistings so far this season, with Jade De Melo<\/a>, Jade Halfpenny<\/a>, Laquoiya Cockatoo-Motlap<\/a>, Maggie MacLachlan<\/a> and Jacqui Yorston<\/a> not offered contracts for next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Much like the Hawks the Power also signed three players in the Expansion Pre-Signing Period, signing highly touted teens Shineah Goody<\/a>, Lauren Young<\/a> and Molly Brooksby<\/a> from their Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n There has only been one list change so far, with midfielder\/forward Meagan Kiely<\/a> announcing her retirement. Kiely made her debut in 2022, and played 18 of a possible 22 games last calendar year, before only managing one this year thanks to ongoing injury issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sydney has not delisted anyone yet, but have made an addition to their list ahead of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\nEssendon<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
