Gardiner<\/a> agreeing to four more seasons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sun becomes Bomber <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Bess Keaney<\/a> is heading down the east coast, heading to Essendon with Pick 72, while the Bombers have sent Pick 53 to the Suns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Crows re-sign sisters<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n There is a double re-signing out of West Lakes this morning, with premiership defender Libby Birch<\/a> has found her way to North Melbourne as part of a pick swap. The two-time All-Australian will don the blue and white strips, traded alongside Pick 35 to upgrade the Demons’ second round pick to number 19. It will be Birch’s third club after starting her career at the Western Bulldogs where she also won a premiership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Lion becomes Swan <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Young Lion Kiara Hillier<\/a> has moved down the east coast, after being traded to the Swans in exchange for their Round 4 pick (currently 73).<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Dees quartet re-sign<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Melbourne has continued its re-signing announcements, announcing that their four remaining Season 1 Dees – Lily Mithen<\/a>, Lauren Pearce<\/a>, Sarah Lampard<\/a> and Paxy Paxman<\/a> – have all re-signed with the club. Mithen has signed until the end of 2026, while the other three have signed on until the end of next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood’s Irish duo becomes a trio<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood has added to its Irish stock, signing Muireann Atkinson<\/strong> from Monaghan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Monaghan’s skipper was a train on player with Sydney in 2023, but gets a proper contract for next season with the black and white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Saints announce 10 <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n St Kilda has announced 10 players who will don its colours again in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nat Exon<\/a>, Darcy Guttridge<\/a>, Madeleine Boyd<\/a>, Beth Pinchin<\/a> <\/strong>and Caitlin Matthews<\/a> have all signed on for one more season, while Stephanie Chiocci<\/a>, Grace Kelly<\/a>, Natalie Plane<\/a>, Simone Nalder<\/a> and Rebecca Ott<\/a> all have years to run on existing contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n First multi-part trade drops <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The first whopper trade of the period was confirmed, this one involving Carlton, Collingwood, St Kilda and North Melbourne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Blues have sent Annie Lee<\/a> to Collingwood, Paige Trudgeon<\/a> to St Kilda and their Round 3 pick to North Melbourne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The Roos have sent their one of their round three picks to St Kilda and one to Collingwood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood has sent Tarni Brown<\/a> and its round three pick to Carlton, while St Kilda has sent its second round pick to Collingwood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Giants re-sign exciting trio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n GWS has announced the re-signing of three of it’s most exciting young stars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Zarlie Goldsworthy<\/a>, Georgia Garnett<\/a> and Tarni Evans<\/a> will all be Giants for at least the next four years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Pies & Tigers swap picks<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the sole completed trade on Saturday, Collingwood and Richmond made a pick swap that favoured both sides. Collingwood is eyeing off an additional top 10 talent, moving up two spots from Pick 11 to Pick 9, while for the Tigers, it seems the player they are looking at is tipped to be there two spots later, and therefore gain a free pick – Pick 29 – out of the trade. The full trade was Pick 9 to Collingwood, with Pick 11 and Pick 29 heading to Richmond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Roos re-signing spree continues<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The big name re-signings continue down at Arden Street, with Emma Kearney<\/a> the latest to extend her contract, with a new two year deal keeping her at Arden St until the end of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Dees duo re-sign<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In some news that is sure to spark some joy in the hearts of Dees fans, the club have announced that both captain Kate Hore<\/a> and vice captain Tyla Hanks<\/a> have both signed new deals. The deals are also long ones too, with the pair both signing on until the end of the 2027 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood cut five <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood have announced that four players have been delisted, with Sophie Casey<\/a>, Joanna Lin<\/a>, Imogen Evans<\/a> and Olivia Barber<\/a> all not offered a contract for next year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Zippy Zimmie off to the Kennel <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the first actual trade of the Trade Period, young Lions forward Zimmorlei Farquharson<\/a> is heading down the east coast and to the Kennel to join the Western Bulldogs. In return, the Lions get pick 41 from the Western Bulldogs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hawks snag premiership Dees<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hawthorn has picked up premiership Dees Casey Sherriff<\/a> and Eliza West<\/a>, with the pair and pick 16 heading to the Hawks in exchange for picks five and 26. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Suns axe one <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Gold Coast has made a delisting announcement, with Gabrielle Biedenweg-Webster<\/a> told she will not be offered a contract in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Power youngster comes home<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Another rumoured trade has come to fruition, with Yasmin Duursma<\/a> and what is currently pick 25 heading from Port Adelaide to Carlton for pick 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n WA clubs swap stars<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Eagles and Dockers have made a swap, with Aisling McCarthy<\/a> heading to Fremantle and Roxanne Roux<\/a> and pick 27 heading the other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Crows pair re-sign<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Adelaide have announced a pair of very key re-signings, with skipper Chelsea Randall<\/a> and coach Matthew Clarke<\/em><\/strong> both signing on for an additional two years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Eagles add Verity into their lineup<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n West Coast announced one of the worst kept secrets in the West Australian sporting world, by signing former West Coast Fever netballer, Verity Simmons<\/em><\/strong> to a rookie contract on day one of the trade period. Simmons played 159 Super Netball matches, as well as being a three-time Diamonds representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The 32-year-old retired from netball following the 2023 Super Netball season to pursue an AFLW contract, and she said she was looking forward to the challenge with West Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m super excited to move into footy,\u201d Simmons said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI\u2019m definitely going to be fresh, I\u2019m excited to come through as a rookie and just be sponge and soak up as much as I literally can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSwitching codes is always super exciting and getting to have a crack at this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI think the biggest part also is being in a bigger team, new girls, fresh faces, fresh coach, I feel like I\u2019m turning a new leaf, a new chapter and I can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Eagles also announced re-signings of young guns Ella Roberts<\/a> (until end of 2027) and Isabella Lewis<\/a> (end of 2026) in a big day for the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Dockers cut two<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Dockers have made two changes to their list, delisting Sarah Wielstra<\/a> and Emmelie Fiedler<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Drafted in 2021, Wielstra played 13 games across three years as a Docker, while Fielder did not take to the field after only coming to the club via April\u2019s Supplementary Draft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Roos re-sign star mid<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Kangaroos have made a huge re-signing announcement, with star midfielder Ash Riddell<\/a> putting pen to paper on a new contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And it is a big one too, with Riddell now a Roo until the end of the 2027 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\nDecember 13<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
