Claremont has emerged as the clear team to beat this year, having won all six matches thus far, and while some have been closer than anticipated, the Tigers always do enough to get the points. Peel Thunder have shown competitiveness at times, but by struggling to score and coming up against a rock solid defence, it spells danger in this game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claremont has not held back in this game, bringing back the experience of Emily Bonser<\/a> along with the exciting duo of Juliet Kelly<\/a> and Eva O’Donnell<\/a> among five additions. Over-age tall Bec Anderson<\/a> is one of the unlucky four to lose her spot and has been named as an emergency, while Eva Campo<\/a> also misses this game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Thunder, they rotate the magnets by bringing in Jade Hall<\/a>, Kristen Rudler<\/a>, Jessica Ruland<\/a> and Charlize Thompson<\/a> in exchange for Zoe Bailey<\/a>, Holly Bilcich<\/a>, Keely Hare<\/a> and Jordain Thompson<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFLW DRAFT TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bottom-ager Kelly is an exciting prospect out of defence and can play other roles, boasting an elite tank. The standout top-age prospect for the Tigers is AFLW Academy member Claudia Wright<\/a> who will provide plenty of run and carry, while for the Thunder, Evie Cowcher<\/a> does the same. Versatile midfielders, Holly Britton<\/a> and Dakota Sexton<\/a> are other State Academy members for the Thunder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KEY PLAYERS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claremont has no shortage of stars across the board and it is more a case of where to look. Ruck Jessica Ritchie<\/a> has been in great form, with the likes of Jayme Harken<\/a>, Bonser and Adele Arnup<\/a> all experienced stars who find the ball. They will use their extra experience against a young Thunder side with Cowcher spending important time on-ball. Ebony Bilcich<\/a> and Ebony Dowson<\/a> are key leaders in the side, with Greta McKinley<\/a> another important player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The match is definitely more a case of how much rather than who, with Claremont looking like a side that is not going to lose this year. Peel Thunder will have a huge litmus test against the benchmark to see if they can limit the scoring and keep it as competitive for as long as possible.<\/p>\n
