IT was a good week for almost all the home sides in the VFLW, with six of the seven games going the way of the home side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williamstown has picked up its second win of the season after defeating the Western Bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Bulldogs were actually the ones who led at both quarter time and half time, but after they went scoreless in the third term the script of the game changed and the Seagulls kicked away to pick up the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Molly Simpson<\/a>, Emily Eaves<\/a> and Teagan Brett<\/a> each kicked two goals for the Seagulls in the win, while Dominique Carbone<\/a> and Sarah Skinner<\/a> were industrious for the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Box Hill remain undefeated this season after another big win, this time over North Melbourne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The margin was only five points at the first change, but three goals to none in the second term in the home side\u2019s favour set the tone for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the victors it was Tamara Luke<\/a> (three goals) and Bridie Hipwell<\/a> (two goals) that did the most damage in front of goals, while for North Melbourne Maddie Di Cosmo<\/a> and Audrey Rhodes<\/a> again impressed in midfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n GWS made it three big wins from as many matches in the VFLW, this time comfortably defeating Geelong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite an inaccurate first term from the Giants, their 11 scoring shots to none in that quarter really set the tone for the rest of the match, and the Cats were just never in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although she was only up forward for one quarter, Tarni Evans<\/a> really made the most of it and bagged four majors, while Zarlie Goldsworthy<\/a> booted three of her own and finished with 28 disposals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile for Geelong Chantal Mason<\/a> was their only goal scorer, while Caitlin Reid<\/a> landed nine tackles and recorded five clearances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Just like their crosstown rivals, the Swans have also made it three from three in their VFLW campaign after a big win over the Dees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With a 49-point margin at quarter time it was a sign of things to come as the Dees were never in the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cynthia Hamilton<\/a> and Giselle Davies<\/a> both kicked three majors each for the Swans, while Laura Gardiner dominated in mid court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile for the Dees Meg Macdonald<\/a> was a tackling machine, while one of their goals came from an unlikely source in Delany Madigan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Port Melbourne has suffered its second loss in a row, this time going down to Carlton by just over a goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carlton dominated for much of the match and survived a late Borough fight back to take the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lily Goss<\/a> was Carlton\u2019s only multiple goal kicker with two to her name, while Mimi Hill<\/a> dominated through the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the flipside it was Laura McClelland<\/a> who was the Borough\u2019s only multiple goal kicker with two, while Ava Seton<\/a> was a tackle and clearance machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Collingwood has made it two wins in a row after defeating the Falcons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Falcons matched it with their more fancied opponents early but were unable to maintain the pressure as Collingwood ultimately ran away with the match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Carly Remmos<\/a> starred in midfield for Collingwood, while Lauren Brazzale<\/a> booted two majors in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile for the Falcons Victoria Blackwood<\/a> stared in defence, while Angelica Gogos<\/a> was prolific in midfield, recording 15 clearances and 11 tackles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The round came to a close with a crucial win for the Bombers, who downed the Saints by nine points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A slow start really cost the Saints, who fought back hard in the second half but it was not enough as the Bombers held firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bailey Hunt<\/a> was the pick of the goal scorers for Essendon with two, while El Chaston<\/a> had another solid game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile for the Saints Charlotte Ryan<\/a> and Alexandra Hynes<\/a> again impressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\nBox Hill (11.11.77) defeated North Melbourne (4.3.27)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
