He brought time in possession with twists and turns while assessing his options, proving willing to change angles or enact a switch. He was a constant option on the outside and put himself in good spots to intercept, using his momentum to get the Rebels going on the rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#6 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"114320\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/jack-ough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jack Ough<\/a><br><strong>Wing | 194cm | 15\/12\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>17 disposals, 6 marks, 2 inside 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ough has put together a consistent block of form ahead of the National Championships having spent some time on the sidelines. That continued in Round 10 with an outing highlighted by his clean hands and ability to power through traffic. Ough was one-touch below his knees and overhead, chiming in with some intercept marks and absorbing contact when required. After a venture into midfield, he has made the wing his own again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#7 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"114424\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/oliver-hannaford\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oliver Hannaford<\/a><br><strong>Defender | 180cm | 01\/09\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>20 disposals, 4 marks, 4 tackles, 7 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hannaford was up against it on Saturday with a rotation of matchups against Dandenong co-captains <strong>Harvey Langford<\/strong> and <strong>Cooper Hynes<\/strong>. The combative defender was up to the task and set the tone with his two-way intensity. He attacked by taking quick metres from the kick-ins, and defended by hunting the opposition with fierce defensive pressure. Hannaford tends to play in one gear \u2013 go \u2013 but is dangerous when driving his legs on the rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#8 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"130999\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/jonty-faull\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonty Faull<\/a><br><strong>Key Forward | 195cm | 01\/02\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>14 disposals, 4 marks, 5 goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faull made a triumphant return from injury in Round 10, booting five goals in his first game of the season. The key forward could have been forgiven for looking a little clunky at times and taking a few contests to find his groove, but eventually recaptured his craft. Over-ager <strong>Zane Snowden<\/strong> tried to give him very little, but Faull drew free kicks and held his own with great bodywork one-on-one. His set shot goalkicking was terrific and it would have been a great confidence booster to score within the opening three minutes of all but one quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#19 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131176\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/mitchell-lloyd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mitchell Lloyd<\/a><br><strong>Tall Defender | 192cm | 15\/03\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>16 disposals, 7 marks, 5 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lloyd is one of the form defenders of the competition and continued that trend with another promising outing. His intercept game was terrific as usual, reading the play well to clunk clean marks and proving a brick wall in the first half. He was challenged in the way of ball use and one-on-one craft at times, but had little trouble getting his hands on the ball as GWV\u2019s defensive general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#20 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"143489\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/floyd-burmeister\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Floyd Burmeister<\/a><br><strong>Key Forward\/Ruck | 198cm | 04\/05\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>16 disposals, 6 inside 50s, 15 hitouts, 1 goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Burmeister looked on track for a big game in the first half and allowed Faull to thrive as the deepest forward with his ability to present up the ground. Incredibly mobile at 198cm, the raw tall talent showed good dexterity to make use of delivery which hit the deck and utilised his springy leap when rucking. He was willing to jump in packs but struggled to clunk any major contested marks, which is an area for improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DANDENONG STINGRAYS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#1 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"115446\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/cooper-hynes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cooper Hynes<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder\/Forward | 190cm | 28\/02\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>35 disposals, 5 marks, 1 goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Typically a fast starter, Hynes spent plenty of his tickets in the early stages but went on to rack up a game-high 35 disposals. He was active from the offset and sharp by hand, displaying a willingness to share the ball and connect with teammates. Hynes&#8217; strong vision and decision making waned as the game wore on, leading to more dump kicks under pressure, but he made a gut-busting run from end-to-end in the final quarter to get free inside 50 and snare a goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#2 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"114374\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/harvey-langford\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harvey Langford<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder\/Forward | 190cm | 15\/03\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>21 disposals, 9 tackles, 7 inside 50s, 1 goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While partner in crime and co-captain Hynes may have been more prolific, Langford certainly did damage with his 21 touches and seven inside 50s. He started up forward and booted Dandenong\u2019s opening goal of the match, before immediately having an impact when thrust into the centre bounces. His vice-like handling and booming left boot made for stoppage exits which hurt the opposition, and he also did so with gritty tackling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#10 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131221\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/ben-hopkins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ben Hopkins<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder\/Defender | 190cm | 28\/07\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>25 disposals, 4 marks, 4 inside 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopkins has made a move into midfield akin to <strong>Billy Wilson<\/strong>\u2019s last year, but still mixed his time in defence and even on the wing. The over-ager showcased super quick and clean hands at the contest, and for a lighter frame, was not afraid to get stuck in. His hard running was noticeable but kicking on the move remains an area of improvement, even if he can utilise both feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#22 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"103864\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/jordan-doherty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jordan Doherty<\/a><br><strong>Ruck | 199cm | 21\/02\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>27 disposals, 6 marks, 8 hitouts, 1 goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not every day you rack up 27 disposals as a ruckman, but Doherty did exactly that in a dynamic showcase of his wares. The over-ager was like a fourth midfielder in the sense he could follow up at stoppages and win his own clearances, also doing so by snatching the ball out of ruck contests. The skipper showed great poise in those situations and proved his leadership quality when the game was on the line. He was willing to hold possession for as long as possible, looking for opportunities to connect by hand and make better use of his clearances than simply blazing away. Grego also did plenty of the dirty work in a typically tough outing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#11 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"134554\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/thomas-mcguane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas McGuane<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder | 177cm | 27\/08\/2007<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>24 disposals, 3 marks, 5 inside 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another prolific performance from McGuane sees his season disposal average sit just above 25. The 2025 Collingwood father-son prospect was sharp all day, darting his way through the corridor and showcasing terrific vision to make use of his foot skills. He hit kicks at obscure angles, albeit if he tried to be a little too cute at times and favoured his left side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#12 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"130857\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/lachlan-mcarthur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lachlan McArthur<\/a><br><strong>Defender | 190cm | 09\/12\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>17 disposals, 5 marks, 5 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McArthur has returned bigger numbers this season but can be proud of his effort on Saturday with a tough job in defence. The over-ager spent time matched up on Northern\u2019s talls, conceding 5-10cm but bridging the gap with outstanding judgement of the ball in flight. McArthur took several intercept marks and knew when to either attack with his leap or stay down over the back. His rebound work was also effective in tough conditions for kickers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#37 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"130853\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/lucas-impey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lucas Impey<\/a><br><strong>Ruck | 200cm | 12\/12\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>19 disposals, 4 inside 50s, 30 hitouts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another dominant display in the ruck saw Impey win the hitout count with 30, while also following up and imposing himself around the ground. Impey was a handy outlet down the line and proved difficult to beat aerially for his sheer size, also utilising that factor to grab from the ruck contest and force his own clearances. It was a performance typical of any solid over-age tall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NORTHERN KNIGHTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#11 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"114347\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/lucas-mcinerney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lucas McInerney<\/a><br><strong>Wing\/Defender | 180cm | 28\/02\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>18 disposals, 6 rebound 50s, 1 goal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McInerney is a train-on for the Vic Metro squad and should be highly motivated to make every post a winner as the championships get underway. The wingman was a little scrappy in the early stages but found his groove with active work on the outside and even hit the scoreboard in term one. He also got a run in defence, utilising his playmaking ability and foot skills from the last line, where he continued to chain possessions and spark transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#23 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131132\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/gabriel-stumpf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gabriel Stumpf<\/a><br><strong>Key Forward\/Ruck | 196cm | 23\/11\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>13 disposals, 3 marks, 2 goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His numbers may not jump off the page but Stumpf was highly impressive on Saturday. The athletic key forward combined well with Tom Sims in the early stages, getting on his bike to present up the ground while also creating scoring opportunities. A tough matchup for heigh and mobility, Stumpf was effective on the lead and finally made good on his promising plays with back-to-back goals in the third quarter. Half of his disposals on Sunday came from marks, highlighting Callow&#8217;s continual presentation on the lead and clean hands overhead. The bottom-ager plays above his height in that regard, doubling as a genuine target down the line or in transition. Callow had the chance to cap off his day with a goal but missed everything with his shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#11 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131070\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/max-mapley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max Mapley<\/a><br><strong>Key Defender\/Forward | 199cm | 27\/10\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>10 disposals, 3 marks, 2 hitouts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mapley continued his venture to defence and looked quite comfortable in possession of the ball. The big man only took three marks for the match but two of them were intercepts \u2013 one as a defender, and the other as a forward in the second half. Mapley was willing to stand up in the contest and moved well for a player his size, showing promise as an over-ager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#12 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"154775\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/rylee-mchenry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rylee McHenry<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder | 179cm | 17\/07\/2007<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>22 disposals, 6 tackles, 5 inside 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>McHenry has achieved personal-best disposal hauls over the last two weeks and made good on the opportunity to run through midfield once again. The solidly built bottom-ager provided plenty of positive momentum out of stoppages, driving his legs forward and injecting some power to the play. He lacked a little polish on his disposal at times but hit hard and broke tight passages open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#18 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131052\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/harry-elmer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harry Elmer<\/a><br><strong>Defender | 180cm | 13\/04\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>18 disposals, 3 tackles, 2 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elmer\u2019s energy and surge style out of defence were terrific to watch. He positioned aggressively and streamed past on the outside to generate overlap run through the corridor, taking the game on with a sharp turn of speed. He began to balance out his attack-minded play in the second half with a few tough defensive efforts, and even got a run in midfield to cap off a productive day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SANDRINGHAM DRAGONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#45 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"143581\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/luke-kennedy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luke Kennedy<\/a><br><strong>Midfielder | 180cm | 11\/10\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>18 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with the likes of <strong>Riely Collins<\/strong>, Kennedy was a mainstay in Sandringham\u2019s engine room and did some nice things in a dour, low-scoring loss. The midfielder has enjoyed more time on-ball in the absence of some star Dragons, and displayed his neat work by hand on Sunday. Kennedy\u2019s handling and ability to draw opposition players before disposing were quite effective, though he could have been a little sharper by foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#47 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"106182\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/lachlan-voss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lachlan Voss<\/a><br><strong>Key Defender | 199cm | 19\/04\/2005<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>12 disposals, 7 marks, 4 rebound 50s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voss was Sandringham&#8217;s defensive rock once again and had two very different matchups in either half. He was initially opposed to 192cm 16-year-old <strong>Charlie Bovill<\/strong> and was quite confident in peeling off to intercept, backing his reading of the play. Both of his goals were scored at important times; marking right before the quarter time siren and then in the second quarter where he roved a pack to goal. Rotating between the midfield and the backline, Eyre won numerous clearances and ensured that the ball was distributed well via foot and fought hard to win the footy even though the contest was fairly one sided. He demonstrated sharp reflexes to score each goal, along with great evasiveness. When on the ball he demonstrated his ability to read the play, while also making smart decisions. El Achkar\u2019s pressure acts were great along with his tackle technique, though he had a poor moment after running down <strong>Jagga Smith<\/strong>, having the free kick reversed in front of goal. His ball distribution by foot was shaky early, however improved the longer the game went on. Despite being undersized, Badr competed well with his overhead marking and tackle technique. The 193cm talent was a viable outlet option and used his power to burst forward, often leaving would-be tacklers in his wake or disposing of the ball as they hung off him. He got going with back-to-back goals in the second quarter, first dobbing a free kick and then playing on from the top of attacking 50 to convert well on the run. He missed chances to add to his tally after half time but had moments where his reach was too good overhead, and his nimbleness showed at ground level &#8211; either way, he has a strong set of hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>#24 <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"131283\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/matt-whitlock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt Whitlock<\/a><br><strong>Key Forward | 199cm | 16\/05\/2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stats: <\/strong>9 disposals, 4 marks, 2 goals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much like his twin brother, Whitlock had a significant height advantage over his direct opponent but faced periods of frustration. Still, the dynamic and talented tall covered the ground beautifully, playing the high forward role with Jack settling in deeper. Whitlock worked his opponent over on the lead and showed good craft to nudge him under high balls before setting off out the back. Evans&#8217; clean hands were also useful at ground level and he distributed the ball soundly on his favoured left foot.
