Ladder leader East Fremantle is firing on all cylinders at the moment as the Sharks streak towards the minor premiership. They already have it in reality given the percentage difference between them and West Perth, but can wave good bye to the mathematicians probabilities with a win here. East Perth will do well to avoid the wooden spoon, but must hope Peel does not win and make up seven per cent in the final fortnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

East Fremantle has been forced to be a little depleted this week, losing Zippy Fish<\/a>, Taya Chambers<\/a> and Natasha Entwistle<\/a> to the AFLW Academy-All Stars match in Melbourne. The Sharks will also bbe without Emmelie Fiedler<\/a> and Samara Pluschke<\/a>, but regain past Dhara Kerr Medallist Sharon Wong<\/a> as well as key defender Leanne Gubbins<\/a>. Three youngsters in Caylen Crook<\/a>, Grace Freeman<\/a> and Maya Louvel-Finn<\/a> also come in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
East Perth has reeled off the chances too, with five players out including the suspended Emily Boothman<\/a>. Jessica Bolton<\/a>, Zoe Peters <\/strong>and Kiahn Perry<\/strong> are also among the outs with Brianna Cleggett<\/strong>, while coming into the side are five players including Matilda Sim<\/a>, Layla Firns<\/a> and State Academy member Bianca Rogers<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFLW DRAFT TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The draft talent has been somewhat depleted for this weekend, but the inclusion of Rogers means East Perth has two State Academy members given Lucy Greenwood<\/a> is in the side, while the Sharks look to Tiani Teakle<\/a> and Freeman as top-agers and Alicia Blizard<\/a> as a bottom-ager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
East Fremantle should be too strong and experienced for the Royals even with missing a host of talented players. Expect East Perth to put up a fight, but the Sharks are on a mission and their depth is fantastic.<\/p>\n

Since losing to East Fremantle in Round 11, West Perth has strung together three wins, including nail-biting victories over Claremont and South Fremantle, and a commanding performance against East Perth. The Falcons must win here to give themselves the best chance of beating Claremont to second spot, especially with a larger percentage gap in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

West Perth has made four changes, regaining rucks Stacey Francis-Bayman<\/a> and Kailea Thomas<\/a> among four inclusions with Lea Caccamo<\/a> and Dakoda Hallam<\/a>. Out of the side are Elissa Price<\/a>, Nadia Parora<\/a>, Teal Bennett<\/a> and Taylah McGorlick<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Swan Districts have just made the three changes, losing Brianna Hyde<\/a> and Naomi Baker<\/a>, while omitting Emma Nanut<\/a>. The three to return are small forward young gun Sienna Gerardi<\/a> alongside Adi Griffith<\/a> and Sienna Pollard<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFLW DRAFT TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The return of Gerardi adds some spark in the forward half to the Black Ducks, with midfield duo Lily Paterson<\/a> and Carys D’Addario<\/a> in ripping form this season. West Perth’s Mia Russo<\/a> is coming off a brilliant performance last week, while top-ager Megan Norbury<\/a> has also had some big games this season. Defender Samara Sallie<\/a> is the other State Academy member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
West Perth should win, but fourth placed Swan Districts is good enough to get the job done in an upset. The Falcons still need to win against Subiaco in the final round, but at least can keep clear of Claremont for now, while a loss for Swan Districts could see it in danger of losing fourth.<\/p>\n
