A 15-GOAL win to the Eastern Ranges has resulted in the side recording a league-high five players in the Coates Talent League Girls Team of the Week for Round 10. The Ranges had one more than fellow winners Oakleigh Chargers and Tasmania Devils, with losing side Murray Bushrangers having three, and all bar one other side having at least a representative in the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Player of the Week, Tasmania Devils’ Priya Bowering<\/a> takes the captain’s armband this week, having put up 32 disposals in a starring role during the Devils’ win. She was far from a lone hand however, with defender\/midfielder Mackenzie Williams<\/a> named in a back pocket, and goalscoring duo Ava Read<\/a> (three) and Harriet Bingley<\/a> (two) named up forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The only side that topped the Devils this week was the Eastern Ranges and bottom age jet Tayla McMillan<\/a> once again starred in the huge win, and was our hypothetical vice-captain. She was one of five Ranges in the side, with fellow bottom-ager Jordyn Allen<\/a> named at half-back, forward Georgia Knight<\/a> (four goals) at full-forward, and midfielder\/forward Grace Belloni<\/a> (two) on the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also notching up four representatives in Round 10 were the Oakleigh Chargers, as skipper Sienna Tallariti<\/a> once again makes it in defence, with Emma McDonald<\/a> at centre half-forward. Two midfielders in Sarah Poustie<\/a> and Abbey Vicino<\/a> were pushed out to the wings given the strength of the starting on-ball group, with Vicino also going forward and kicking three goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In terms of other winners, GWV Rebels had a couple of familiar faces in the defender-midfielder rotational pair of tall Millie Lang<\/a> and small Isabella Davies<\/a> who both made it in, as did two Western Jets in their come-from-behind win over the Cannons. Key position utility Alex McBride-Loane<\/a> will start as ruck in this hypothetical team, while Sierra Grieves<\/a> made it onto the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Murray Bushrangers were the pick of the losing sides with three representatives. In her first game back in Bushies colours since 2022, Ellie Hall<\/a> had a day out, and she was named at half-back. Joining Hall in defence was Rose Bell<\/a>, while fellow 2008-born talent Sophia Green<\/a> was named on the bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Elsewhere, Northern Knights forward Kira Lemire<\/a> converted three goals and was named in a forward pocket, with bottom-age forward\/midfielder Marlo Graham<\/a> on the bench.
