HAWTHORN is humming along at the moment, picking up win number seven of the AFLW season yesterday after beating West Coast by 11 goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflecting on the Hawks’ season post match,\u2019 coach Daniel Webster<\/em><\/strong> said that internally everyone is feeling good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Any time you get a win, any win\u2019s worth its weight in gold, especially in an 11 game season,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIt was good to get just a bit more free flow football going and a bit more speed on the ball which we always like. It can be a bit tricky here, just on the skinnier ground and especially when the wind\u2019s favouring one end, but I thought we did a pretty good job handling that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Despite how well the year is going for the Hawks this season, the infamous ‘f word’ \u2013 finals \u2013 has not been actively discussed in camp Hawthorn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe talk about where we want to go and what we want to do, but fundamentally for us, like we want to win premierships, and so to do that, you need to win games,\u201d Webster said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd then, you know, the flow on effect is if you’re good enough, you’ll play finals. If you’re good enough, you’ll win finals and you go from there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
