{"id":177544,"date":"2024-12-04T12:34:52","date_gmt":"2024-12-04T02:34:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/?p=177544"},"modified":"2024-12-04T12:34:53","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T02:34:53","slug":"mon-conti-nues-to-reign-supreme-at-tigerland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/2024\/12\/04\/mon-conti-nues-to-reign-supreme-at-tigerland\/","title":{"rendered":"Mon Conti-nues to reign supreme at Tigerland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>WITH the AFL Women\u2019s season coming to a close, clubs are starting to award their club champions, recognising the stars of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this new series from Rookie Me Central, we take a look at the seasons of each best and fairest winner and what led them to have such stellar seasons.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the next edition of our series, we had across to Punt Road and reflect on the season that was for the Tigers\u2019 Best and Fairest winner <a href=\"\/afl\/player\/monique-conti\/\" data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"29889\" class=\"_dc_spo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monique Conti<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning individual accolades is nothing new for Conti, who has now won seven club champion awards. That tally includes six straight at Richmond after winning one at the Western Bulldogs in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024 she won the award by a single vote from fellow midfielder <strong>Eilish Sheerin<\/strong>, with <strong>Kate Dempsey<\/strong> and <strong>Ellie McKenzie<\/strong> level in third, and <strong>Bec Miller<\/strong> finishing in fifth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been another big year for the midfield star, who continues to be one of the AFLW\u2019s premier midfielders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024 Conti had a team high average of 27.8 disposals and five clearances per game.
