11 PLAYERS achieved top 10 results across multiple events at the recent WAFL Colts preseason testing combine. Among them were four state summer squad members. Athletes from all nine clubs converged on the Gold Netball Centre to see how they stack up athletically ahead of season proper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arguably the top tester across the weekend was East Perth’s Jacob Eddington<\/strong>. The over-ager, who hasn’t played a Colts game in the last two seasons, notched the best running vertical jump (95cm) to go with third place in the standing jump (77cm), and eighth in the 20-metre sprint (2.894 seconds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speedsters Rydn Rae-Anthonysz<\/strong> and Riaz Mohammad<\/strong> were among the potential state representatives to achieve dual top 10 finishes. The former placed second in the 20-metre sprint (2.879 seconds), while the latter rounded out the podium with a rapid time of 2.880 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swan Districts over-ager Ned Reiger <\/strong>stopped the clock quickest at 2.868 seconds to go with an equal-ninth placing in the running vertical jump (88cm). Other impressive efforts came from Tylah Williams<\/strong> and Hudson Walker<\/strong>, who join fellow top-agers Rae-Anthonysz and Mohammad in the state program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Williams notched the second-fastest agility test time (7.865 seconds) and placed fifth in the 20-metre sprint (2.887 seconds) to showcase his turn of speed. Walker was one of eight players to finish the yo-yo test at level 21.03, to go with his 89cm running jump – good enough for equal-fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
