While the other matches were one-sided, that top of the table clash provided an intriguing twist in the lead-up to the NTFL finals series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Top of the table clash sees Saintly victory<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The top of the table clash saw PINT suffer its first loss of the season, going down to St Mary\u2019s by 20 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PINT\u2019s slow start ultimately came back to bite. PINT did not kick a major in the first term compared to St Mary\u2019s two, and for the rest of the match the Green Ants were playing catch up and ultimately failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"46535\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/caitlin-sargent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caitlin Sargent<\/a> kicked three majors for the Saints in the win, and was ably assisted with two majors from <a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"63365\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/nadia-von-bertouch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nadia Von Bertouch<\/a>. Meanwhile <a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"50333\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/amy-chittick\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amy Chittick<\/a> and <strong>Cate Laurie<\/strong> were the only goal kickers for PINT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tiwi further entrenched into top four<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The other result on the smaller end of the scale was out at TIO Stadium as the Tiwi Bombers helped further cement their place in the top four with a five-goal win over the Southern Districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bombers jumped out to a two and a half goal lead at the first change, and further extend that lead in the third term, and the Districts just had no answers to try and bridge the deficit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/afl\/player\/freda-puruntatameri\/\" data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"51788\" class=\"_dc_spo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Freda Puruntatameri<\/a><strong> <\/strong>and<strong> <\/strong><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"118970\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/maria-rioli\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maria Rioli<\/a> lead the way in front of goal for Tiwi, finishing with a pair of goals each, while <strong>Bonnie Brown<\/strong> and <strong>Eva Harris<\/strong> were the only ones to get on the scoreboard for Southern Districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Palmerston pummels Darwin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the battle of the finals qualification, Palmerston picked up a huge win over Darwin, both in margin and in importance for the Magpies\u2019 hopes of making finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palmerston kept Darwin scoreless for over a half of football, and by the time the Buffaloes did score Palmerston was about 10 goals in front, and went on to win by 85 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"132520\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/marika-carlton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marika Carlton<\/a> starred in front of goal for Palmerston and finished with five goals, while<strong> Ciana Niesner<\/strong>, <a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"105143\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/tatyana-perry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tatyana Perry<\/a><strong> <\/strong>and<strong> Iesha Ronberg<\/strong> also kicked multiple goals. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nightcliff-wallops-waratah\"><strong>Nightcliff wallops Waratah<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The other big margin of the weekend saw Nightcliff thrash Waratah, coming away with a 91-point win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second and fourth quarters were the telling quarters for the Tigers, as they kicked three goals to none and five goals to none respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"132530\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/zimra-hussain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zimra Hussain<\/a> slammed home six majors for the Tigers, while <strong>Sophie Hatzismalis<\/strong> and <strong>Chloe Jacobs <\/strong>kicked a trio of goals each.
