STORMING to victory with a dominant second half, Woodville-West Torrens remained undefeated in Round 4 of the SANFL Women’s, while North Adelaide notched up a big win, and Sturt ground out a second consecutive victory in a tight one against West Adelaide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both teams engaged in a defensive struggle throughout the first two quarters with only majors to Rosette Zerella<\/a> and Kiana Lee<\/a> crossing out each other’s majors for the score to be 10-apiece at the main break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n However it was a different story after half-time as the Eagles switched jumpers as part of their traditional heritage clash, booting six goals to just one behind in a dominant performance. Zerella booted three more majors in her milestone 50th match against her former side, spearheading the Eagles to a fourth straight triumph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While Zerella finished off in front of goal, it was the midfield of Christina Leuzzi<\/a> (31 disposals, six marks, six tackles, five clearances and five inside 50s) and Poppy Waterford<\/a> (21 disposals, two marks, seven tackles and five clearances who were busy around the coalface under the work of ruck Leah Cutting<\/a> (17 disposals, three marks, two tackles, 29 hitouts, four clearances and four inside 50s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Norwood, Sophie Arkun<\/a> (21 disposals, four marks, three tackles and five rebound 50s) and Charlee Brooksby<\/a> (13 disposals, four marks, six tackles, four clearances and three rebound 50s) tried hard from the back half, while Jade Halfpenny<\/a> and Shai Hiscock<\/a> were their consistent selves in defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n WOODVILE-WEST TORRENS 1.0 | 1.4 | 5.5 | 7.7 (49) GOALS: RMC BEST: <\/p>\n\n\n\n North Adelaide notched up win number two for season 2025 with an impressive victory over Glenelg, sentencing the Bays to a fourth straight loss. After a tight opening term, the Roosters booted three goals to nil in the second quarter to open up a 29-point half-time lead. North Adelaide got out to as much as a 43-point lead before Glenelg kicked the last two goals of the game in the final 10 minutes to cut the deficit back to an even 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The midfield duo of Julia Clark<\/a> (27 disposals, seven marks, two tackles and three inside 50s) and Laela Ebert<\/a> (23 disposals, three marks, two clearances, three inside 50s, three rebounds 50s and a goal) were both fantastic, while there were a host of others who stood up. Djimila Totham<\/a> finished with 16 touches, five tackles and five clearances, while Jamie Parish<\/a> was steadfast in defence and Hannah Ewings<\/a> made a successful return to football with a goal from 12 touches and five inside 50s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jess Bates<\/a> was phenomenal around the ball as has been expected, racking up a ridiculous 35 disposals, 11 clearances, eight tackles and three rebound 50s. Youngsters Tessa Davis<\/a> (23 disposals, 11 rebound 50s) and Asha Dufour<\/a> (20 disposals, thee tackles, two clearances and three inside 50s) also worked hard in defeat. Kaitey Whittaker<\/a> kicked 2.1 from limited opportunities as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NORTH ADELAIDE 2.6 | 5.6 | 6.8 | 7.10 (52) GOALS: RMC BEST: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sturt ground out a narrow four-point win despite a late fightback from West Adelaide at Unley Oval. The Double Blues looked to have the game under control despite both teams struggling to freely score due to the defensive setups and missed opportunities. In the end despite kicking the only three goals of the opening three quarters, Sturt never felt safe with West Adelaide charging home and having a shot in the dying seconds to win the game from a quick snap, but it was luckily marked by Jasmin Fejo<\/a> in the goalsquare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alex Ballard<\/a> played across multiple positions and was rock solid with 19 touches, five marks and a goal, while top-agers Sophie Thredgold<\/a> (15 disposals, two marks, two tackles, three inside 50s and a goal) and Monique Bessen<\/a> (13 disposals, six marks, two clearances, four inside 50s and four rebound 50s) supported Isobel Kuiper<\/a> (19 disposals, eight tackles and seven clearances).
