As expected the match was always up for grabs throughout the contest, with Central closing to within one point midway through the third term. However South found the momentum again, kicking away with three goals to one behind in the last 30 minutes to win by that margin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The victory was built off a magnificent performance through the ruck by Soriah Moon<\/a> who racked up 42 hitouts and nine clearances along with her 27 touches, five tackles, five rebound 50s and a goal, doing it all over the ground. She had plenty of support from the likes of Emma Charlton<\/a> (22 disposals, four marks, four tackles and eight clearances), Caitlin Couch<\/a>, Melissa Anderson<\/a> and Taya Maxwell<\/a>, while Shae Archbold<\/a> and Laquoiya Cockatoo-Motlap<\/a> both kicked two goals up forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The speed of Tesharna Maher<\/a> posed some problems for the Panthers as she finished with 20 disposals, four tackles, nine clearances, seven inside 50s and two rebound 50s. Other Central District players to stand out include midfielders Sophie Eaton<\/a> and Dakota Williams<\/a>, smart defender Madison Lane<\/a> and Under 16s young gun Charlotte Maurits<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Central District will look to bounce back against the winless Glenelg at Stratarama Stadium on Saturday, while South Adelaide hosts Sturt on Sunday in the second clash between the two sides in three rounds, this time out at Strathalbyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CENTRAL DISTRICT 1.2 | 1.4 | 3.6 | 3.7 (25) GOALS: RMC BEST:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n After a nail-biting first half of action, North Adelaide was able to break the game open in the third term against Norwood, kicking three unanswered goal to build a buffer that was good enough to salute by 21 points. The Redlegs had put up a good fight at Prospect Oval and even lead at quarter time, but eventually were overrun in the second half despite keeping in touch through the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Laela Ebert<\/a> was huge coming off half-back, accumulating 21 disposals and even got forward for a handball receive and classy finish on the run. Julia Clark<\/a> (18 disposals, six clearances, 11 tackles and a goal) was as industrious as ever, while Lauren Gauci<\/a>, Ash George<\/a> and Aprille Crooks<\/a> all added some important speed and smarts on the ball and around the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Redlegs usual suspects in Jade Halfpenny<\/a> (20 disposals, four marks, six tackles and six clearances) and Kiana Lee<\/a> (13 disposals, five marks and two goals) were strong for the visitors, while Lottie Almond<\/a> was terrific in her second League game, picking up 14 disposals and having four rebound 50s for the Redlegs. The unbeaten Bays played some of their best footy early in the match to boot the opening two goals of the game and even kept up as the Eagles began to flex their muscles. However it became a procession late in teh game as the Eagles midfield just dominated handing O’Neill a record-equalling amount of goals in the 55-point victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n O’Neill finished with half a dozen majors in a dominant performance, four of which came in the last term. She along with midfield star Leuzzi (31 disposals, three marks, 10 tackles and nine clearances) were the standouts on the day, though the likes of Imogen Trengove<\/a> – three goals and missed another – and Leah Cutting<\/a> (20 disposals, 28 hitouts and four clearances) were both outstanding. Marlie Fiegert<\/a> and young duo Maia Freemantle<\/a> and Lucy Moore<\/a> combined for 13 clearances and plenty of the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jessica Bates<\/a> was back to her contested ball-winning best as she tried to will her team to victory, racking up 32 disposals, seven marks, five tackles, six clearances and a goal.
