Perth came agonisingly close to its first win of the season against West Perth last week but could not quite finish off, and now the Demons take on the red-hot Lions. Subiaco is undefeated in the 2025 WAFLW season and cruising along on the top of the ladder, with the opportunity to notch up another win against the bottom side here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each side has made just one change with Jordyn McRae<\/a> replacing Tui Wineti<\/a> for Perth, while Subiaco loses wing Hayley Corlett<\/a>, replaced by Claudia Langley<\/a> in the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFLW DRAFT TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The defensive duo of Addison Opalinski<\/a> and Mia Carlshausen<\/a> will have big jobs again and have been really impressive for the Demons. They have the likes of Olivia Wolmarans<\/a> and Layla Quinn-Schofield<\/a> who are both big threats on the scoreboard, while up the other end, Olivia Crane<\/a> and Sunni-Quay Peters<\/a> will provide rebound from the back half and turn defence into attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a top against bottom clash, it is fairly easy to side with the former and Subiaco is every bit the premiership contender in 2025. Perth is still building its list and has a lot of young talent, but a competitive effort will be a great tick for the Demons in this game.<\/p>\n

Much like Subiaco, Claremont is yet to lose in the 2025 WAFLW season with the reigning premiers up and about looking to go back-to-back. The Tigers take on a challenging Swan Districts side which looks like being in finals this year and will enjoy the challenge of taking on a side with the quality of Claremont here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each team has made one solitary change with Tyla Fitzgerald<\/a> replacing Emma Humphries<\/a>, while the Tigers have gone for extra run over height as WAFLW state captain and wing Kate Orme<\/a> comes in for tall forward Hannah Seaborn<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AFLW DRAFT TALENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Juliet Kelly<\/a> is coming off a ridiculous league record-breaking 48 disposals last week and will be a key cog in the midfield. Up forward, Ella Gilbey<\/a> adds some serious pace, as does Swan Districts’ Sienna Gerardi<\/a> up the other end. Carys D’Addario<\/a> has not put a foot wrong all season and is a consistent ball-winner through midfield, while Ava Stewart<\/a> will take a key tall inside defensive 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Claremont is as consistent of a side as there is, and while still missing a couple of key players, should do enough to get over the line. However Swan Districts is good enough to cause the upset, particularly with a really damaging forwardline that has the capacity to kick a winning score.<\/p>\n
