After knocking off West Perth a fortnight ago, the Bulldogs had a huge opportunity against the winless Perth to take back fourth spot. However with several key players out, dropped that game and now face a tough run home starting with the undefeated Subiaco. The Lions are rampaging at the moment and it is hard to see them dropping many with them and Claremont clearly the top two sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Fremantle’s task has been made all the harder by losing marking forward Zoe Huggett<\/a>, but they do regain National Academy member Alira Fotu<\/a> to replace her, with the athletic top-ager playing her first game of the year. She is back in alongside fellow forward Eva Flynn<\/a>, while Pippa Sideris<\/a> makes way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Lions have switched five players, with the massive inclusion being Tiah Toth<\/a>. Expect her to do a lot of damage in the front half, with Jess Pillera<\/a> and Clare McCarthy<\/a> among the others. Debutant Marley Kelman<\/a> gets her shot at League level, while Jorja Schell<\/a> also returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subiaco look too balanced across the board and should come away with win number 10 and further enhance their claims for the minor premiership. It is a crucial contest for the Bulldogs, but will need to cause a big upset to get the job done.<\/p>\n

West Perth will be rueing its loss to South Fremantle a fortnight ago following a heavy defeat at the hands of Swan Districts. The Falcons are the walking wounded at the moment and remarkably can hold onto fourth spot still if the Bulldogs lose as expected. West Perth blitzed the Thunder last time out, but with a lot of changes since then, Peel would back itself in to potentially cause an upset. Peel is coming off its third win of the season last week with a victory over East Perth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peel Thunder will be missing key midfielder Ebony Bilcich<\/a> as she is the sole out, with teenager Jade Bell<\/a> making her debut as Bilcich’s replacement. West Perth has made three changes, recalling winger Taylor Ferguson<\/a> and bottom-agers Rikisha Nannup<\/a> and Tayah Nicholson<\/a>, with the latter making her WAFLW debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
West Perth is at home and despite missing a lot of players should win the clash. Peel is also without several key players and is very young, but the defensive end should hold up well. Expect a low scoring contest with the team that takes its opportunities inside 50 to come away with the four points.<\/p>\n

Coming off their first ever win, Perth Demons will build plenty of momentum for the future with their performances in the second half of the season. The task ahead against an unbeaten Claremont who are recalling a host of big names looks a bridge too far, but the Demons have been competitive against a lot of strong outfits this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claremont has made a massive five confirmed changes as part of an extended bench, with State Academy members Juliet Kelly<\/a>, Ella Gilbey<\/a> and Emma Henderson<\/a> all out to represent the Sandgropers. Matilda Sergeant<\/a> and Lauren Hutton<\/a> are also out of the team, though the likes of two-time Dhara Kerr Medallist Jayme Harken<\/a> and AFLW-experienced duo Kate Orme<\/a> and Mackenzie Webb<\/a>. Extremely talented bottom-ager India Bonadeo<\/a> also makes her League debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Perth, the two confirmed outs are Sienna Timmermans<\/a> and Robin Walsh<\/a> with the former also representing Western Australia in Melbourne. Among the six inclusions as part of an extended bench are Skye Elliott<\/a> and Tessa Kongras<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like Subiaco, you have to back Claremont in to get the job done. Simply too experienced, unbeaten and well-balanced across the park. Perth could not have been more impressive in recent weeks, but this would take a massive performance to get over the line.<\/p>\n
