Though she sat out the year with a second ACL injury, Lauren Young is one who cannot be ignored as a breakout player in what is essentially her first season, with an ability to play on all three lines but will likely play forward. Also more than likely to set foot inside 50 is the dynamic Jasmine Evans who has elite foot skills and decision making capabilities.

2025 FIXTURE

Round 1: vs. Fremantle | Sun Aug 17 @ Alberton Oval, 3:40pm
Round 2: vs. North Melbourne | Sun Aug 24 @ Arden Street Oval, 12:35pm
Round 3: vs. Gold Coast | Sat Aug 30 @ Alberton Oval, 4:35pm
Round 4: vs. West Coast | Sun Sep 7 @ Mineral Resources Park, 4:35pm
Round 5: vs. Melbourne | Sat Sep 13 @ Alberton Oval, 2:35pm
Round 6: vs. Geelong | Sat Sep 20 @ Alberton Oval, 12:35pm
Round 7: vs. St Kilda | Sun Sep 28 @ RSEA Park, 12:35pm
Round 8: vs. Western Bulldogs | Sat Oct 4 @ Alberton Oval, 6:45pm
Round 9: vs. Brisbane | Sat Oct 11 @ Brighton Homes Arena, 4:35pm
Round 10: vs. Hawthorn | Fri Oct 17 @ Alberton Oval, 6:45pm
Round 11: vs. Adelaide | Fri Oct 24 @ Norwood Oval, 7:05pm
Round 12: vs. GWS Giants | TBC @ Henson Park

PREDICTION

Port Adelaide has all the pieces to be a very strong outfit and one that can create a potential dynasty. After a preliminary final last season, the Power will no longer fly under the radar, but expect them to live up to expectations and be in the mix as the season goes on. They understandably have a tough draw, but will be fascinating to see how they improve in 2025.

Mentions

Matilda Scholz

Julia Teakle

Lauren Young

Jasmine Evans

PORT Adelaide came from nowhere to not only make finals, but knock off Hawthorn in the semi-final to reach the penultimate weekend of action.
