VIC METRO star Chloe Bown<\/a> has racked up a stack of accolades across the AFLW Under 18 National Championships with a carnival best and fairest to go with her state MVP and captain of the All-Australian team. In an official announcement that dropped this morning, Bown was one of six Metro players to make it into the All-Australian squad, coached by Queensland mentor Emma<\/em><\/strong> Zielke<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bown won the best and fairest voting (the AFLW Under 18 Championships’ equivalent of the Larke Medal) with 26 votes, three clear of Queensland MVP Sunny Lappin<\/a> followed by South Australian MVP and bottom-ager Emma Charlton<\/a> (21). Top-ager Tayla McMillan<\/a> (12 votes was a distant fourth edging ahead of West Australian MVP Carys D’Addario<\/a> and Queensland winger Mikayla Nurse<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The six players earned All-Australian honours with Bown, Lappin and Charlton on-ball, while Nurse and Allies’ MVP Priya Bowering<\/a> on the wings. McMillan found herself at half-forward with a full National Academy line next to Sandgroper tall Olivia Wolmarans<\/a> and Tasmanian Mischa Barwin<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bottom-age forwards Majella Day<\/a> and Bailee Martin<\/a> were named alongside Queensland goalsneak Alannah Welsh<\/a>, with the other bottom-age player in the team being West Australian ruck Cara Dziegielewski<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year’s Queensland MVP in Georja Davies<\/a> was named at centre half-back having played three games there, flanked by teammate Rhianna Ingram<\/a> and Vic Metro’s Scarlett Johnson<\/a>. Vic Country’s Mizuki Brothwell<\/a> was one of just two players from her state to earn All-Australian honours and slotted into the back pocket, while Vic Metro defender Zara Neuwirth<\/a>, and consistent West Australian Maya Louvel-Finn<\/a> also were bestowed the honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maggie Johnstone<\/a> was one of five interchange players and the other Vic Country representative, with D’Addario unlucky to be squeezed out of the midfield, while teammate Mia Russo<\/a>, South Australian skipper Imogen Trengove<\/a> and Vic Metro ruck Josephine Bamford<\/a> were the other All-Australian representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
