Just three weeks ago Collingwood caused an upset over North Melbourne-Werribee to skip to the grand final just a game later thanks to a 13-point victory over the Roos. The Magpies only kicked one goal in the second half, but their 25-point lead at half-time was enough to see them home. Tahlia Sanger<\/a> was prolific for the Magpies, while Amelia Peck<\/a>‘s four goals were the difference. Alana Barba<\/a> was the Roos’ best in defeat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just one change has been made for the big day between the two sides with Collingwood’s Lily-Rose Williamson<\/a> missing due to her new AFLW commitments, out of the side with Jordan Ivey<\/a> making her return to the Magpies’ lineup. The Roos have gone in unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ANALYSIS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Collingwood comes into the match with wins in both of its clashes against North Melbourne-Werribee. The Magpies have a well-balanced unit with the emergence of Sanger a massive boost along side the likes of skipper Dominique Carbone<\/a> and players such as Tahlia Fellows<\/a> and Erin McKinnon<\/a> with quality AFLW experience. Courtney Jones<\/a> and Peck are dangerous forward options for the black and white as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the Roos, the midfield strength of Barba and Maddie Di Cosmo<\/a> has been a key feature, while leading goalkicker Nyakoat Dojiok<\/a> is always a handful. Alongside fellow ex-Pies Matilda Zander<\/a> and Charlotte Blair<\/a>, the Roo have key ball-winners who can impact forward of centre, with Tahlia Meier<\/a> and Renee Tierney<\/a> among them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PREDICTION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Melbourne-Werribee has been the best side all year, and Collingwood’s luck in grand finals – since winning it back in 2019, has not been great. In saying that, the Pies have had their measure in 2025, so that has to count for something. Expect a tight contest, we’ll go Roos by two points.<\/p>\n
