GUNNING for an incredible fourth straight title, South Australia’s Under 16 Girls’ squad for 2026 has been released. Bek McMahon – who was at the helm for the past three titles – takes over the reins again, with 47 players named from across the eight SANFLW clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Norwood is the most represented club in the squad with nine players including the likes of Mia Wood<\/a> and Lara Gribben<\/a> who both took part in the carnival as bottom-agers last year. Gribben impressed so much she also won All-Australian honours so the tall will be gunning for a second straight accolade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Central District (eight) is the next highest tally, while SANFLW Grand Finalists South Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens have seven apiece. Sturt (five), Glenelg and North Adelaide (four each) and West Adelaide (three) round out the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Training will commence with two days on Monday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 17, with he Croweaters will play an internal trial match in mid-February to trim the initial squad down to 30 for the National Development Championships.
