QAFL Women’s: Round 6<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The match of the round produced a somewhat surprise result, with Morningside defeating competition front-runners Coorparoo 2.2 (14) to 1.1 (7) to hand the Kings their first loss of the 2026 season. The sides were locked level at the main break before the Panthers kicked the only goal of the third term and held firm in a scoreless final quarter to grind out the result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Laura Roy<\/a> was the game’s standout with 19 disposals, eight clearances, six tackles, five inside 50s and a crucial goal, while Greta Liell-Cock<\/a> (17 disposals, five clearances) and Ally Lappin<\/a> (14 disposals, five tackles) were also important contributors. The Bull Sharks conceded the first goal inside five minutes but kept the Red Lionesses scoreless for the remainder of the contest to take a dominant win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Annabel Lynch<\/strong> was superb with 17 disposals, six marks, four tackles, four inside 50s and two goals, while Evy Reeves<\/a> (21 disposals, eight tackles, four clearances) continued her impressive season through the engine room.
