THRILLING finishes and blowouts were among the highlights of Round 7\u00a0in the TAC Cup.<\/p>\n

Under lights on Friday night, Geelong Falcons<\/strong> easily accounted for Calder Cannons<\/strong> running away with a 86-point win<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the battle of the tall forwards, Falcon Brett Blair<\/strong> nailed six majors while Calder’s Karl Brown<\/strong> was kept goalless.<\/p>\n

Blair now finds himself leading the TAC Cup goal kicking over Stingrays small forward Sam Fowler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Despite a strong start from Gippsland Power<\/strong>, Eastern Ranges<\/strong> easily collected the four points with a 50-point win at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ranges midfielder Jordan Gallucci<\/strong> was best on ground, with 36 disposals and three goals powering the Ranges to their fourth win of the season.<\/p>\n

Power forward Austin Hodge<\/strong> kicked five goals, but overall it was another disappointing day for Gippsland who are yet to register a win.<\/p>\n

In the match of the round, Murray Bushrangers<\/strong> pulled off an upset defeating the previously undefeated Dandenong Stingrays<\/strong> at home.<\/p>\n

The match was close all day with the Bushrangers overcoming a 10-point deficit at half time to win by four points.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bushrangers midfielder James Cousins<\/strong> was a standout all day with 26 disposals while Stingrays small forward Sam Fowler<\/strong> kicked 3.2 for the afternoon.<\/p>\n

North Ballarat Rebels<\/strong> continued their strong run of wins, taking it to four-in-a-row with a 10-goal victory over the<\/strong><\/a> Northern Knights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Knights were kept goalless in the first quarter with very few putting their hand up playing good games. Matthew Perry<\/strong> was one of the few Knights who performed, collecting 35 disposals, seven marks and five tackles.<\/p>\n

Likely Top 10 pick Hugh McCluggage<\/strong> was one of the Rebels’ best where he grabbed 27 disposals while defender Jarrod Korewha<\/strong> had 25 disposals and took nine marks.<\/p>\n

In the final match of the round, Western Jets overcame a slow start to defeat Bendigo Pioneers by 14-points<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the Looking Ahead ahead, Oscar Junker<\/strong> was predicted to be a crucial player in the pivotal clash.<\/p>\n

Junker did not disappoint with 26 disposals and six marks in the centre for the Jets.<\/p>\n

Joseph Atley<\/strong> fought hard for the Pioneers but his 22 disposal and eight tackle effort wasn’t enough to stop the Jets claiming their second\u00a0win.<\/p>\n

This weekend it is a development weekend, meaning there will be no TAC Cup action with players returning to school, club and National Championship action.<\/p>\n
