Club aligned prospects <a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"218314\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/noah-braun\/\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Braun<\/a> (father-son) and <a data-type=\"player\" data-id=\"164914\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/garrison-kenh\/\" target=\"_blank\">Garrison Kenh<\/a> (Next Generation Academy) lined up for their respective sides, both topping the disposal charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Braun, the son of 2006 premiership Eagle <strong><em>Michael<\/em><\/strong>, is a hard-running left-footed midfielder who can play inside or outside. He rose to prominence this year after breaking the Colts disposal record with 50 back in Round 6, which went a long way to playing him into the state Under 18 program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kenh, meanwhile, has been a long-term representative figure. The soccer convert was an Under 16 All-Australian in 2024 and stepped into the National Academy this year. After being overlooked for the first two games of the Under 18 champs, he responded well to show his talent in the final two fixtures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having recently been West Australian teammates, the pair lined up on opposite sides back at club level and even marked each other at centre ball-ups in the final term. quarter with 13 disposals &#8211; over half his total tally. Although, his risk-taking approach and sheer volume yielded its fair share of errors as Kenh looked to utilise his foot skills, but lacked a little conviction at times. His cool and calm approach invited pressure as he surged the ball into dangerous launch zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somewhat of a roamer across the ground and unafraid to push into advanced positions, Kenh would coast before coming to life when the opportunity to attack emerged. He would seemingly conserve energy, but always showed that ability to shift gears and use his speed to either evade pressure or take ground. When he picks his moments, his talent is clear to see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Much of Kenh&#8217;s improvement will come in his defensive and contested efforts. That means getting back harder on defensive transition, applying more ferocious tackle pressure, and accepting contact when required. As a defender, any timidity tends to be punished. But Kenh can cut you up going the other way, and that kind of upside makes him difficult to ignore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He ended up running out Saturday&#8217;s game running alongside Braun in midfield. It allowed him to show a little more defensive accountability, while proving just as lethal with his speed off the mark. While patchy, his playmaking ability with ball in hand shone. He looked switched on from the get-go, reacting well to pounce with strong tackle at the opening centre ball-up and outline the kind of intensity he would bring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was also lively in an attacking sense, using his speed to wheel out of stoppages and spark combination play. That ability to win first possession on the inside and then continue to chain up possessions on the outside was a marker of Braun&#8217;s play throughout the day. His work rate was outstanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wanting to be the man to drive Claremont forward, Braun dipped into his running tank to provide overlap and find space around the ground. He was also a threat in the forward half, rotating there and slotting two quality long-range goals on the fly. He showed that kind of ability at state level, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A scrappy kind of player with moments of class, Braun could certainly have handled the ball a little cleaner on several instances, but always showed the right endeavour.
