The Sharks remained four points clear of Coorparoo, but given almost 200 per cent separates the sides, the week off is locked in. Aspley also gave itself a mathematical chance in theory with a win over Wilston Grange, but the 80 per cent differential between the two sides means the top five is all but set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Southport 4.5 (29) def. Broadbeach 3.2 (20)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southport secured a hard-fought nine-point win over Broadbeach at Fankhauser Reserve to maintain its stranglehold on top spot heading into the final round. The Sharks were made to work for it by a determined Cats outfit, but ultimately had enough class to get over the line and extend their lead at the top of the ladder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/ella-maurer\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Maurer<\/a> was the standout for Southport, amassing 28 disposals, seven clearances and two inside 50s. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/rianna-schipp\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rianna Schipp<\/a> (26 disposals, three marks and two clearances) and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/kiara-hillier\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kiara Hillier<\/a> (17 disposals, nine marks and six tackles) were also influential, while <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/tayla-christensen\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tayla Christensen<\/a> kicked two goals. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/sienna-burnham\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sienna Burnham<\/a> was busy through the midfield with six clearances, and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/giselle-davies\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Giselle Davies<\/a> provided 15 hitouts from the ruck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Broadbeach, <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/stephanie-aguinaldo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stephanie Aguinaldo<\/a> was tireless with 17 disposals, four clearances and nine tackles. <strong>Makayla Sekac<\/strong> (14 disposals, two marks and five clearances) and <strong>Drew Barnes<\/strong> (17 disposals and four marks) also worked hard in defeat, while <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/molly-ritson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Molly Ritson<\/a> kicked two goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wilston Grange 6.4 (40) def. by Aspley 7.6 (48)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the upset of the round, Aspley produced a gutsy performance to defeat Wilston Grange by eight points at Hickey Park, at least keeping the possibility of mathematical &#8211; though essentially impossible &#8211; finals alive. The Hornets trailed at various stages but showed great resilience to run over the top of the Gorillas in the second half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/eva-downie\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eva Downie<\/a> was exceptional for Aspley, finishing with a massive 34 disposals, five marks, one clearance, five tackles and nine inside 50s. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/ella-smith\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ella Smith<\/a> (32 disposals, two marks, four clearances, seven tackles and seven inside 50s) was equally dominant, while <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/niamh-mccarthy\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Niamh McCarthy<\/a> (19 disposals, two marks, two clearances and six inside 50s) and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/maddison-tallis\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maddison Tallis<\/a> (12 disposals, three inside 50s and two goals) also made important contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Wilston Grange, <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/layla-collins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Layla Collins<\/a> was enormous, gathering 24 disposals, nine clearances and 18 tackles. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/mackenzie-findlay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mackenzie Findlay<\/a> (23 disposals, five marks and four clearances) and <strong>Hayley Finning <\/strong>(21 disposals and five marks) were also busy, while <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/summer-hamilton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Summer Hamilton<\/a> kicked two goals and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/naomi-celebre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Naomi Celebre<\/a> added two more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bond University 11.15 (81) def. Moreton Bay 1.1 (7)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bond University bounced back emphatically from last week&#8217;s narrow defeat to Coorparoo, demolishing bottom-placed Moreton Bay by 74 points at Bond University Oval. The Bull Sharks were relentless, piling on 11 goals to one in a percentage-boosting performance that keeps them firmly in the top three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/shannon-nolan\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shannon Nolan<\/a> was outstanding for Bond University, racking up 32 disposals, four marks, nine clearances, four tackles and seven inside 50s, adding two goals to her tally. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/kendra-blattman\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kendra Blattman<\/a> was the main beneficiary up forward, booting four goals from four marks, while <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/tegan-williams\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tegan Williams<\/a> (24 disposals, four marks, four clearances and four inside 50s) and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/millar-brosnan-ball\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Millar Brosnan-Ball<\/a> (21 disposals, nine marks, five inside 50s and two goals) were also prominent. <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/skye-white\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Skye White<\/a> dominated the ruck with 27 hitouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Moreton Bay, <strong>Jessica Davy <\/strong>battled hard with 25 disposals, four marks, four clearances and 10 tackles. <strong>Indiana Marshall<\/strong> (13 disposals, five marks, five clearances and three inside 50s) kicked the Lions&#8217; only goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>University of Queensland 3.3 (21) def. by Coorparoo 4.8 (32)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coorparoo continued its strong form with an 11-point win over the University of Queensland at Base Architecture Meadows, keeping the Kings in second place on the ladder. The Kings were tested by a spirited UQ outfit but had enough class to hold on and secure a crucial victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ayla Fetahagic <\/strong>led the way for Coorparoo with 26 disposals, four marks, seven clearances, seven tackles and six inside 50s. <strong>Dakota Villiva<\/strong> (19 disposals, five marks, four clearances, five tackles, six inside 50s and a goal) and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/grace-roberts-white\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Grace Roberts-White<\/a> (19 disposals, four marks, three clearances, 15 tackles and a goal) were also vital. <strong>Renee Teys <\/strong>was busy in the ruck with 37 hitouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For UQ, <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/luka-yoshida-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luka Yoshida-Martin<\/a> was brilliant in a losing side, finishing with 37 disposals, two marks, nine clearances and seven tackles. <strong>Tiana Anderson<\/strong> (25 disposals, four marks, one clearance and two tackles) and <a href=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/afl\/player\/freya-ross\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Freya Ross<\/a> (17 disposals, five clearances and 17 tackles) also worked tirelessly, while <strong>Sophie<\/strong> <strong>Dunne<\/strong> kicked two goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maroochydore 2.6 (18) def. by Morningside 6.2 (38)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morningside rounded out a strong week for the Panthers with a comfortable 20-point win over Maroochydore at Neil Upton Oval, keeping them in the hunt for a top-five finish heading into the final round.
