AFTER a week off, the TAC Cup Girls teams are back and raring to go in round two of the 2018 season. This week, many teams have engaged in positional changes for their players, in particular the leaders, making for some interesting contests across the weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Eastern Ranges have opted to send\u00a0Gabriella De Angelis\u00a0<\/strong>forward this week, after playing in the midfield in round one. In defence,\u00a0AFLW Academy member,\u00a0Georgia Macpherson\u00a0<\/strong>retains her spot in the half-back pocket, after a damaging performance against the Greater Western Victoria Rebels. Winnie Laing <\/strong>and Sarah Hartwig <\/strong>were stars in the midfield in round one, and will now have an opportunity to test their versatility in defence. They will not be aided by captain, Jess Owen, <\/strong>who will play in the midfield this week instead of in the back-line. Owen will be joined by Abbie McKay<\/strong>, who will try her hand at playing on-ball this week. The daughter of Carlton Head of Football, Andrew McKay <\/strong>played a wonderful game in defence in round one, and will get to have a go in the midfield to demonstrate her great running ability.<\/p>\n Oakleigh has sent\u00a0Carey Grammar’s\u00a0Charlotte Moon\u00a0<\/strong>into defence this week. The 183-cm recruit played up forward in round one, and will be hoping to intimidate her opponents with her height at Healesville Sporting Complex.
