Plenty of young players stood up and played marvellously across the weekend. The\u00a0<em>AFL Draft Central\u00a0<\/em><strong>Team of the Week\u00a0<\/strong>has many new faces this week in what was a memorable round of TAC Cup Girls action.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Geelong Falcons fared the best this week, with\u00a0<strong>Abbey Chapman, Samantha Atkins\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Luka Lesosky-Hay\u00a0<\/strong>all featuring in the best 22 after the Falcons continued their undefeated streak against the formidable Murray Bushrangers.\u00a0Despite the Bushrangers recording their first ever loss in the TAC Cup Girls competition,\u00a0<strong>Grace Egan\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Tamara Smith\u00a0<\/strong>stood up on the day, and slotted into our team this week.\u00a0<strong>Julia Harvey\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sophie Damon\u00a0<\/strong>should also be commended for their work in the midfield, and so should plenty of others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elisabeth Georgostathis\u00a0<\/strong>was everywhere for the Jets at Williamstown, displaying fantastic ball-use throughout the day.\u00a0 She was complemented by\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Greiser\u00a0<\/strong>up forward, who continues to sneak her way up to the top of the leading goal-kickers, with a four-goal performance on Saturday.\u00a0 Although Eastern went down to the Jets,\u00a0<strong>Sarah Kendall\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Gabriella De Angelis\u00a0<\/strong>had stunning performances.\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Wilson\u00a0<\/strong>was also solid for the Ranges and was so close to making it into our Team of the Week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Bendigo Pioneers fared well in a losing game, with two players in the best 22.\u00a0Despite\u00a0<strong>Megan Williamson\u00a0<\/strong>not featuring, she still had a wonderful performance alongside\u00a0<strong>Brooke Hards\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Kodi Jacques,\u00a0<\/strong>who slotted into the back-line and the midfield, respectively.\u00a0<strong>Emily Hauesler\u00a0<\/strong>joined Hards in defence after a best-on-ground performance at Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve, while <strong>Nikia Webber\u00a0<\/strong>made her way into the forward-line thanks to a three-goal performance on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite the loss, Dandenong defender\u00a0<strong>Lucy Cripps\u00a0<\/strong>and midfielder\u00a0<strong>Saige Bayne<\/strong>\u00a0also made our Team of the Week, with\u00a0<strong>Stephanie Glover\u00a0<\/strong>featuring for Greater Western Victoria Rebels while captain <strong>Lauren Butler<\/strong> was unlucky, as was <strong>Hannah Simpson<\/strong>.\u00a0The forward-line on the other hand was rounded out by\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Pronesti\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ellie McKenzie\u00a0<\/strong>of the Northern Knights, who impressed in their 51-point win over Oakleigh.\u00a0 Three players from Trevor Barker Beach Oval made it into the team with Sandringham&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eleanor Brown\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Madd Wilson,\u00a0<\/strong>as well as Calder&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Felicity Theodore\u00a0<\/strong>making their way into the best 22 this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-33183\" src=\"https:\/\/www.afldraftcentral.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1267\" height=\"891\" srcset=\"https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01.jpg 1267w, https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01-300x211.jpg 300w, https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01-768x540.jpg 768w, https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01-1024x720.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01-128x90.jpg 128w, https:\/\/central.rookieme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/TAC-Cup-Girls-TOTW-R5-01-32x23.jpg 32w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1267px) 100vw, 1267px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IT was a case of no AFLW Academy players, no worries for the TAC Cup Girls teams this round.
