The in-form forward booted five goals the previous week against the Western Jets, and went two better on the weekend, slamming home seven majors. Her performance was a clear standout from the weekend and earns her the title of <strong><em>AFL Draft Central<\/em> TAC Cup Girls Player of the Week<\/strong> for round eight.<\/p>\n<p>The performance has seen Bate race into favouritism for the Leading Goalkicker Award, booting 17 goals for the season &#8211; 12 of which have come in the past two weeks. She leads Oakleigh Chargers&#8217; forward <strong>Daisy Bateman<\/strong> by three goals.<\/p>\n<p><em>Notes vs. Bendigo Pioneers:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bate was a standout up forward for the Dragons, booting seven of their ten goals, in their big 71-point win over the Bendigo Pioneers at Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Saturday.\u00a0 Bate was a dangerous target inside 50, booting goals from set shots and on the run. She had five goals to half time, after a set-shot after the half-time siren went through the big sticks and all the signs pointed to double-figures, as the Pioneers struggled to curb her influence.\u00a0 In the last quarter, Bate went for 10 &#8211; resulting in a few behinds from her shots on goal, but very rarely did she waste a possession close to goal.
