Led by a number of Under 18 state representatives, the Magpies proved too strong in the 38-point victory. Katelyn Rosenzweig<\/strong> booted four majors in an impressive display down forward to continue her strong season, while Madisyn Freeman<\/strong> was named best on ground in Salisbury’s win. Monique Hollick<\/strong> booted a goal and was also named among the best, while Courtney Plowman<\/strong> and Sophie Hoyle<\/strong> also hit the scoreboard. For Christies Beach, Alana Browne<\/strong> booted one of her side’s two goals, and was named among the best, while Kelly Spence<\/strong> scored the Saints’ other major. Fauser SAWFL fans did not have to wait long for the first upset of the finals series as Adelaide University toppled Morphettville Park by two points on the weekend. The Blacks finished the season in second place and had to travel to the Roos’ home ground, but it was the visitors that stormed out of the blocks. Adelaide University booted three goals to zero in the first term before the Roos responded with the only five scoring shots of the second term to trail by three points at the main break. Both sides booted a goal in the third term for the visitors to hold a narrow four-point led, and then the missed chances came back to hurt the home team as they booted 1.2 to 1.0 to fall two points short of victory and move through to a do-or-die preliminary final while Adelaide University has the week off. Nadia von Bertouch<\/strong> was the only multiple goal kicker on the ground with two majors, while Adele Gibson<\/strong>, Taylor McKay<\/strong> and Paxton Mattner<\/strong> were named as The Blacks’ best.
