Meanwhile other winners, the Greater Western Victoria (GWV) Rebels and Northern Knights had two each, as did Geelong Falcons and Murray Bushrangers. It was an odd game between the Falcons and Dandenong Stingrays, with the Falcons recording an extra player in Team of the Week despite losing narrowly. The other four losing sides also had just the one player each.<\/p>\n<p>The Cannons had three players who were crucial in each third of the ground, with<strong>\u00a0Lucas Cavallaro<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Jake Riccardi<\/strong>making our Team of the Week once again, while ruck\u00a0<strong>Harrison Jones<\/strong>\u00a0made it into the 22 for the first time this season. Gippsland also had one in each third of the ground, with defender\u00a0<strong>Brock Smith<\/strong>, midfielder\u00a0<strong>Riley Baldi<\/strong>, and tall forward\u00a0<strong>Noah Gown<\/strong>\u00a0earning their places in the side, while captain\u00a0<strong>Xavier Duursma<\/strong>\u00a0came close to making the side as well, but it was a tough midfield to break into this week. Oakleigh had a couple of bottom-agers in the side, with\u00a0<strong>Dylan Williams<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Trent Bianco<\/strong>\u00a0making the team, along with top-age midfielder\u00a0<strong>Jack Ross<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>GWV Rebels forwards who spent time in the midfield,\u00a0<strong>Charlie Wilson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Jed Hill<\/strong>\u00a0made the side again, while Bendigo Pioneer\u00a0<strong>Noah Wheeler<\/strong>\u00a0found himself in the side again for his tireless work in defence and through the midfield. Geelong Falcons star,\u00a0<strong>Sam Walsh<\/strong>\u00a0and teammate\u00a0<strong>Blake Schlensog<\/strong>\u00a0make it into the team, as does opposing midfielder<strong>\u00a0Campbell Hustwaite<\/strong>, in a performance which was incredibly even by the Stingrays, and both\u00a0<strong>Sam Sturt<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Bailey Williams<\/strong>\u00a0can consider themselves unlucky not to be in the team.<\/p>\n<p>Murray might have lost this week, but utility\u00a0<strong>Mat Walker<\/strong>\u00a0and defender<strong>\u00a0Nick Murray<\/strong>\u00a0stood out, making the best 22 for the week, while\u00a0<strong>Zane Barzen<\/strong>\u00a0was another player unlucky not to make it, and would have been named a hypothetical emergency for his three goals. Northern Knights pair, inside midfielder\u00a0<strong>Adam Carafa<\/strong>\u00a0and forward\u00a0<strong>Joel Naylor<\/strong>\u00a0both made the side, as did opposing midfielder, Western Jet\u00a0<strong>Connor Thar<\/strong>.
