MANY players stood out on the third day of the National AFL Draft Combine, with a couple of huge efforts across the board. Among the top performers were Tasmanian, Chayce Jones<\/strong>, Dandenong Stingrays stars, Sam Sturt<\/strong>, Bailey Williams<\/strong> and Will Hamill<\/strong>, Murray Bushrangers midfielder, Ely Smith<\/strong>, South Australians, Connor Rozee<\/strong> and Izak Rankine<\/strong>, and Geelong Falcons’ Ned McHenry<\/strong> and Sam Walsh<\/strong>. Northern Knights’ Tom McKenzie<\/strong> also took out the 20m sprint.<\/p>\n

Draft bolter, Sturt took out the running vertical jump (right) with a massive 91cm jump, while Stingrays teammate, Williams recorded 94cm on his left. Smith was the highest flyer from a standing start, recording 77cm, five clear of teammate, Laitham Vandermeer<\/strong>, and South Australian tall, Ben Jarvis<\/strong>. Jones finished second in both running vertical jumps, while Rozee and Gippsland Power captain, Xavier Duursma<\/strong> also impressed in the category.<\/p>\n

McKenzie, Rozee and Hamill were the three fastest 20m sprinters on the day, while Rankine took out the agility test ahead of Western Bulldogs father-son prospect, Rhylee West<\/strong> and Western Jets captain, Xavier O’Halloran<\/strong>. In the Yo-Yo test, it was a Falcons duo with McHenry ahead of Walsh, with West Australian Luke English<\/strong> also finishing equal second.<\/p>\n
