Hawthorn\u2019s <a id=\"50277\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/tamara-luke\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Tamara Luke<\/a> finished third on 11 votes, and there was a four way tie for fourth on nine votes \u2013 Collingwood\u2019s <a id=\"64933\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/amelia-velardo\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Amelia Velardo<\/a>, <a id=\"78701\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/meagan-kiely\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Meagan Kiely<\/a> from North and Geelong\u2019s <a id=\"31009\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/olivia-barber\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Olivia Barber<\/a> and <a id=\"78670\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/claudia-gunjaca\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Claudia Gunjaca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nanscawen was dominant for the Bombers this year, with an average of 23.5 disposals a game and 10.5 tackles a match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lambert-Pearce Medal was not Nanscawen\u2019s only award for the evening, after she was also named captain of the VFLW Team of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were a number of other VFLW awards awarded tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rohenna Young Medal for the VFLW\u2019s leading goal kicker was awarded to Collingwood\u2019s <a href=\"\/afl\/player\/imogen-barnett\/\" id=\"78648\" target=\"_blank\"  class=\"_dc_spo\">Imogen Barnett<\/a>, who kicked 21 goals in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Debbie Lee Medal for the best young player in the VFLW was awarded to Casey\u2019s <a id=\"78634\" class=\"_dc_spo\" href=\"\/afl\/player\/eliza-west\/\" target=\"_blank\" >Eliza West<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Here&#39;s your <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rebelsport?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@rebelsport<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/VFLW?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#VFLW<\/a> Team of the Year<br><br>Led by captain Georgia Nanscawen <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/essendonfcw?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@essendonfcw<\/a> and Coach Chloe McMillan <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CollingwoodAFLW?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CollingwoodAFLW<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PyecUGPb7B\">pic.twitter.com\/PyecUGPb7B<\/a><\/p>&mdash; VFL \/ VFLW (@VFL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VFL\/status\/1446024442656661507?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 7, 2021<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also the VFL Awards night tonight, and although there was no J.J Liston trophy awarded due to the uneven number of games each side played this season, there were still plenty of other awards awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Frosty Miller Medallist for the VFL\u2019s leading goal kicker went to Aspley\u2019s <strong>Matt Hammelmann<\/strong>, who kicked 42 goals this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medallist for the best young talent in the VFL was awarded this year to <a href=\"\/afl\/player\/charlie-dean\/\" id=\"33537\" target=\"_blank\"  class=\"_dc_spo\">Charlie Dean<\/a> from Williamstown.
