Though the competition will run for 12 rounds, from Round 8-12, the women&#8217;s competition will run parrallel with the men&#8217;s, with the plan to sync clashes between the same sides at the same venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Round 1 kicks off on Friday, February 4 where reigning premiers Glenelg head to Coopers Stadium to take on Norwood in what should be a blockbuster opening clash. The entire first weekend of action looms as a close one, with a double-header at Hisense Stadium the first of many throughout the season. West Adelaide hosts North Adelaide from 12:45pm local time, before two of the lower ranked sides from 2021 in Woodville-West Torrens Eagles and Sturt clash at 2:55pm. In the other match on Saturday, Central District open&#8217;s its season against South Adelaide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Impressively, the new SANFLW Development League &#8211; which allows players not making the League side to have a direct pathway side rather than just local football &#8211; has been able to be coincided either side of the League matches. The first round with both League and Development matches looks like the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-round-1\"><strong>ROUND 1:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Friday, February 4:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Norwood vs. Glenelg @ Coopers Stadium | 6:15pm Development | 8:00pm League<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday, February 5:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>West Adelaide vs. North Adelaide @ Hisense Stadium | 11:00am Development | 12:45pm League<br>Woodville-West Torrens Eagles vs. Sturt @ Hisense Stadium | 2:55pm League | 5:00pm Development<br>Central Districts vs. South Adelaide @ X Convenience Oval | 11:00am Development | 12:45pm League<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OTHER FIXTURE HIGHLIGHTS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fans wanting to see a Grand Final rematch will have to wait until Friday, March 18, when the Bays travel to Hisense Stadium for their Round 6 clash against West Adelaide. The sides will be coming off a bye from the Labour Day weekend. The league&#8217;s two newest sides &#8211; who have now had several years to adapt &#8211; in Central District and WWT Eagles &#8211; will clash in Round 7 at X Convenience Oval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bulldogs have five home games in their first seven matches which could help solidify a fortress there, while West Adelaide have six consecutive home games at Hisense Stadium before havin to travel for the first time in Round 7, heading to Coopers Stadium to take on Norwood. The Redlegs have four home games in the opening seven rounds.
