EASTERN Ranges<\/a> midfielder Bridget Deed<\/a> is the Rookie Me Central<\/em> NAB League Girls Player of the Week for Round 4. The Ranges skipper starred in her side\u2019s third win for season 2022, a 51-point salute over the Northern Knights at Parade College on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following in the footsteps of last week’s winner Charlotte Baskaran<\/a>, Deed was the standout performer this weekend having compiled 35 disposals, six marks, five tackles, and six inside 50s. It was her second 30-plus disposal game for 2022, after she racked up a career-high 36 touches in her side’s Round 1 win over the Calder Cannons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Country top-agers secured nods in the first two rounds, Deed becomes the second Metro player to earn Player of the Week honours this season, and is the first over-ager (2003-born) to do so. Her ability to not only dominate at the stoppages, but accumulate possessions around the ground and be more impactful with each disposal has been a great improvement on her terrific efforts of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flying high at 3-0 as one of two unbeaten sides remaining, the Ranges’ next assignment is a potential danger game against reigning premiers, the Oakleigh Chargers. Having gone down to the typically strong region in last year’s preliminary final, it serves as a chance for Deed and her troops to exact revenge remain clear in the top two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
