WITH the NBL season wrapped for a number of sides, many sides will be looking back at the paths that led them to an early exit.
There are just four teams remaining in the finals, with the remainder now either focusing on making amends for disappointing campaigns, or looking to take the next step as the New Zealand Breakers and Cairns Taipans did in the 2022/23 season.
It was one of the most unpredictable seasons of the past decade, with the standings taking a turn from last time around. Although a number of sides exceeded assumptions with stellar campaigns, others could not meet the lofty expectations set in the pre-season.
Now that campaigns are coming to an end, Rookie Me Central will be taking a look at how each team fared in the 2022/23 season.
In each article (which will be released twice a week), an MVP, surprise packet and one to watch next season will be named, as well a few of the team’s highlights from throughout the season.
The first article will be released tomorrow, discussing the 2022/23 campaign of the Illawarra Hawks, so make sure you check out the Basketball Rookie Me Central site for all the latest content.
