WITH the Southern Peninsula Sharks and Eltham Wildcats 2 match postponed until Monday, both sides will play two matches in a big round of Melbourne United Victorian Junior Basketball League (MUVJBL) Under 16s Boys. Some of the highlights for the round include the second placed Keilor Thunder taking on fourth placed Bendigo Braves, while in the other pool, the seventh placed Melbourne Tigers travel to Waverley’s home to face the fifth placed Falcons.

The match of the round would be the Thunder and Braves going head-to-head with the undefeated Thunder hoping to remain in fine form with victory over Bendigo who are two wins from three games so far this season. Eltham Wildcats 2 and Whittlesea Pacers play off in a bottom two clash with one side to taste victory after five combined losses to start the season. In other matches, third placed Latrobe Energy travels to fifth placed Nunawading Spectres, Southern Peninsula Sharks hosts Dandenong Rangers in a battle to secure a second win, while Diamond Valley Eagles hope to cause Knox Raiders’ first loss of the season.

In the other pool, Waverley and Melbourne will attempt to win their second games of the season, while Geelong Supercats can maintain their undefeated start with a win over Casey Cavaliers – who are yet to collect the full points. Bulleen Boomers and Eltham Wildcats are the other sides yet to lose and could make it four wins on the trot when they take on Hawthorn Magic and Kilsyth Cobras. Meanwhile, Sunbury Jets were gallant last week and will be keen to capitalise against a strong Pakenham Warriors outfit.
