THE 2024 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft is rapidly approaching, with each team making their final preparations ahead of adding some young talent to the best competition in the world.

There are some seriously impressive prospects available, with the crop stretching all around the globe as more international players begin to gain recognition. Suddenly, the collegiate system is not the only method to joining the NBA, which has allowed a broader range of players to compete at the top level.

With the NBA wrapping up the 2023/24 season as we speak, the teams already eliminated have spent the past few weeks considering which players they will select to prepare for the future, and the recent Draft Lottery saw the official order determined.

With that in mind, Rookie Me Central will be taking a look at each team and how their draft will potentially pan out on June 26-27. With all 30 sides in their own unique situation, there is plenty to unpack ahead of the next injection of exciting players.

Fresh off winning an NBA Championship, the Boston Celtics will take the final pick of the first round into the draft, adding more pieces to the most stacked roster in the league.

After the better part of a decade threatening to win it all but falling short, the Celtics put it all together and defeated the Dallas Mavericks 4-1 to finally snag the ultimate prize.

Now, Boston will be looking to run it back and create a dynasty in years to come, and one of the most important steps in that process is topping up at the draft, which it will do later this month. Although their two picks are not the strongest, the Celtics do not have many holes in their roster and will simply benefit from the injection of youth.

With the final pick of the first round, the Celtics could add a wing piece and select Kevin McCullar Jr., who would be an excellent perimeter presence. A terrific on-ball defender, the Kansas forward could eventually become the guarder of the best player on the opposition team in the future, which would take the pressure off Tatum and Brown, especially with Holiday getting older.

Another option could be Baylor Schieierman, who would add shooting power to the Celtics, which would help considering they sometimes take low-percentage shots from behind the arc. Schieierman works well off the ball and is a solid catch and shoot option, which would benefit his teammates, many of whom require the ball to thrive.

With their second selection, Boston could select tall point guard Zyon Pullin out of Florida. He is a floor general who keeps his side running smoothly while being able to knock down shots of his own with ease, and at six-foot-four, offers defensive versatility.
