Two-way deals aplenty as undrafted players join NBA

ALTHOUGH the NBA Draft sees 59 prospects have their dreams realised on the big stage, there are always some players who unfortunately did not hear their name called out over the past couple of days, although there are more avenues to the top level.
The NBA has seen plenty of players come through alternative routes, with players such as T.J. McConnell and Austin Reaves making a name for themselves despite initially going undrafted, and there was still plenty of talent on the board if NBA sides were looking to add players on two-way contracts.
With that in mind Rookie Me Central will be running through the prospects who signed a contract shortly after the draft ended.
One of the biggest value signings came in the form of Ryan Nembhard, with the point guard surprisingly not selected in the 2025 intake. Although he is undersized, he offers plenty as a floor general, and can certainly run the second unit early in his career. He joined the Dallas Mavericks, and could get early minutes with Kyrie Irving sidelined for most of the season.
Another interesting move is the signing of Mark Sears, with the first All-American guard joining the Milwaukee Bucks on a two-way contract as well. One of the most productive backcourt players when he is in form, Sears could be a steal given his proven performances as well as the opportunities in Milwaukee following a torn Achilles to Damian Lillard.
Aussie fans will be thrilled to see that Reyne Smith has joined the Denver Nuggets, signing on to play in the Summer League for the team in the coming months. The sharpshooter had a breakout campaign in Louisville with the Cardinals this season, and now has the chance to earn his keep on a talented roster at the top level.
