THE Waverly Falcons continue their domination in the Melbourne United Victorian Junior Basketball League (MUVJBL) Under 16 Boys competition with a big 81-68 win on the road against the Knox Raiders. Sam Haffenden starred in the victory, dropping 20 points alongside David Amum, who had 17. For the Raiders, Jordan Anderson stood up in the loss with 26 points, while teammate, Zachary Reeves, impressed with 19. Anderson’s game puts him on top for league-scoring as we approach Round 3.

The Geelong Supercats snagged their first win of the season after defeating the Dandenong Rangers 65-43 at home. Olivier Northam holds sixth spot for league-scoring, sinking 18 points in the win with Jet Kneebone following on 15. For the Dandenong Rangers, Beau Tranter finished on 10 points and Ashton Tranter followed close on seven.

The Bulleen Boomers snagged a big 77-65 win on the road against the Latrobe Energy at Traralgon Sports Stadium. Daniel Poelsma starred in the win with 20-points, while Marcel Haj and Daniel Johnston followed with 18 and 14 points respectively. For the Latrobe Energy, Coby Burgiel sunk 19 points while Kody Tibballs had 15.

Bendigo Braves copped a heavy loss from the visitors, losing 37-51 to the Eltham Wildcats on Friday. The Wildcats remain one of three teams yet to be defeated in the last couple of weeks since the post-bye split, with Kristian Ferronato (11 points) and Zahn Agosta (10) proving pivotal in the win. Macey Eaton dropped a game-high 15 points for Bendigo – Jett Vandenberg finished next best on nine.

Keilor Thunder surge into Round 3 inside the top four, winning 57-35 over Pakenham Warriors at Keilor Stadium, with individual scores to be updated once officially posted.

In the reserve grade, the Casey Cavaliers earned a 66-57 win over Diamond Valley, while the Melbourne Tigers beat the Eltham Wildcats by 29 points (79-60). The Nunwading Spectres impressed at home with an 11-point victory (70-59) over the Kilsyth Cobras, while the Sunbury Jets beat the Whittlesea Pacers, 70-47, and the Hawthorn Magic thrashed the Southern Peninsula, 103-45.
