ALTONA Gators have remained undefeated with an impressive 19-point win over previously undefeated Keilor Thunder, for the Gators to sit second after three rounds. The Gators powered away from their opponents in an eye-opening first half, scoring 34 points to 16, opening up an 18-point lead at the main break. The Thunder picked up in the third term to win it 17-13, before the Gators ran out the game stronger, 13-8 for a 60-41 win. Alicia Schiberras top scored with 12 points, while Monique Marcetic-Vaotangi (11), Jordan Wilson (10) and Tyla Paraha (10) all contributed in a big team effort. For the Thunder, Victoria Ikenasio scored 14 points, assisted by Amelia Velardo (nine).

Hawthorn Magic piled more pressure on Nunawading Spectres with a 17-point win in the top-versus-bottom clash. The Magic won the first three quarters, scoring 39 points to 23 in the middle two terms, to eventually win 64-47. Competition leading scorer, Ryleh Killian had another impressive performance with 20 points, assisted by Alycia Kennedy (10) and Kaitlyn Phillips (nine). Louisa Fakalata was the standout scorer for the Spectres, sinking 17 points.

In other results in the Watson Pool, Geelong Supercats produced a whopping 24 points to nine third term to record a 67-44 victory over Broadmeadows Broncos. Karli Bruce top scored with 17 points, while Chrisy Triantafyllopoulos continued her good form with 18 points for the Broncos. Bendigo Braves were too good for Melbourne Tigers in a 72-48 win, trailing at quarter time before piling on 60 points to 34 in the final three quarters. Tess Barnes sunk 18 points for the winners, while for the Tigers, Sheridan Kavanagh managed 13. In the final game of the round, Dandenong Rangers 2 did enough in a 25-12 second term to record a seven-point win over Warrandyte Venom. Despite losing three of the four quarters, the dominant second quarter handed the visitors the points, as Nihaal Saunders led the way with 14 points, while Ella Whiting-Le Cras managed 19 for the Venom.

Diamond Valley Eagles were dominant in their win over Pakenham Warriors in the Ashe Pool, scoring 46 points to 14 in the first half, before a determined Warriors outfit managed 15-16 in the third term. The Eagles finished strongly with a 16-7 final quarter in a 78-36 victory. Abby Hildebrand scored 17 points for the winners, but she was far from alone with Jade Dunne (16), Keeley Evans (15) and Eliza Bannan (13) all strong contributors in the win. For Pakenham, Madelyne Grey sunk a team-high 16 points, while Chloe Turner (seven) was the other player with more than five.

Nunawading Spectres 2 opened eyes with a huge victory over McKinnon Cougars, running away 65-point winners. The Spectres scored at least 19 points in every term, including a 19-0 first quarter. The Cougars managed to score 12 points in the second term, but could only manage nine in the second half as the Spectres piled on 67 points in the final three terms for a 86-21 victory. Stephanie Wales scored 17 points in the victory, while Ebony McMillan (16), Emily Moore (12), Alannah Gillespie (11) and Amy-Jo Olley (10) all finished with double-figure points. Natasha Rivas Lee scored 11 for the Cougars in a lone effort in the forward half.

In the match of the round for Ashe Pool, Knox Raiders got home in a thrilling five-point victory over Dandenong Rangers. Trailing by two at the final break, the Raiders scored 16 points to nine in the final term to run over the top of the Rangers, 60-55. Charlise Dunn scored 19 points for the Raiders, while Leia Hanafin managed 15 for Dandenong. In other results, Kilsyth Cobras remained undefeated with a 66-37 win over Frankston Blues, courtesy of Nikita Young (18 points), while Kassie Boorer (17) was prominent for the Blues. Bulleen Boomers also posted a 53-44 victory over Southern Peninsula Sharks, 53-44. Antoiniette Emma-Nnopu scored 14 points for the Boomers, while Emirson Devenie finished with 15 for the Sharks.
