In the Ashe Pool, the most talked about clash will be the bottom two head-to-head match between Pakenham Warriors and McKinnon Cougars. Neither side has managed a win thus far in season 2019, but the Warriors have a healthier percentage of 70 compared to the Cougars’ 48. Other big clashes are second placed Bulleen Boomers hosting third placed Dandenong Rangers. The Boomers are on fire, winning their past five games after dropping their opening game of the season, while Dandenong has won the past two. Casey Valenti-Paea (22 points per game) leads all-comers in the socring and will be a key player for the Boomers in the match. Emily Sewell‘s form for Dandenong (13.3 points per game) earned her a call-up to the NBL1 Women’s side last week which can only be good for her development. Meanwhile fifth placed Kilsyth Cobras get a shot at the undefeated Knox Raiders, as Nikita Young (16.2 points) is the highest scorer in the game, with Knox sharing its points around on court. In other matches, fourth placed Diamond Valley Eagles host eighth placed Frankston Blues, while a top four spot could be on the line in the game between Nunawading Spectres 2 and Southern Peninsula Sharks.

Ryleh Killian looms as a key player for Hawthorn, averaging 18.3 points per game, while Chrisy Triantafyllopoulos has averaged 14.7 points for the Broncos. Other top four side, Bendigo makes a trip to take on Dandenong Rangers 2, as Piper Dunlop (17 points per game) and Tess Barnes (15.5) have been consistent scorers for the Braves. Meanwhile, seventh placed Keilor Thunder hosts ninth placed Melbourne Tigers fresh off the latter’s first win of the season, as cellar dwellers, Warrandyte Venom hosts Nunawading Spectres.
