Spirit continue finals run over Caps

THE Bendigo Spirit continued their late run to the WNBL playoffs on Thursday, defeating the UC Capitals by 18 points at Red Energy Arena.

Looking to maintain their good form following the Bendigo’s win against the Perth Lynx in Round 12, the Spirit looked to cement the season series split over the Capitals and continue to keep in touch with the top four.

In Round 12, the Spirit faced the Capitals, who have been competitive in recent weeks and looked to bounce back following their loss against the Sydney Flames.

On paper, the Spirit came in as favourites but the Capitals would look to stay in touch for the whole game, following the late withdrawal of Jade Melbourne due to injury.
