ROUND 10 of the NBL has just about wrapped, with all but one game having been and gone with some big wins coming around the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were some significant margins over the course of the weekend, with considerable team and individual performances catching the eye as a number of sides hit triple-digits with some potent offence across the courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that in mind, Rookie Me Central <\/em>will be highlighting three players who stood above the rest, in a weekend which had a number of strong and impactful outings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryce Cotton<\/a> – Perth Wildcats<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cotton kicked things off for the weekend with a vintage performance, topping the scoring column in typical fashion as his side took down the Adelaide 36ers<\/a> on the road. Cotton was the leader of a trio of strong contributors for the victors, and was back to his brilliant best with a whopping 32-point performance in front of a hostile crowd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-time MVP stood up in the clutch as he has done so many times before, scoring nine straight points in crunch time to seal the result for Perth in style. Although defended well by Antonius Cleveland<\/a> which caused some inaccuracy at times, his class and experience proved to be the most valuable asset of his game, with Cotton drawing plenty of contact on the drive and going a perfect 12\/12 from the charity stripe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitch McCarron<\/a> – Adelaide 36ers<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the same game, McCarron was excellent for the 36ers, with the veteran guard doing a bit of everything in an attempt to get his side over the line in front of their fans. He finished the match with a terrific statline of 20 points, 13 rebounds and six assists as he fired in nearly all facets of the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

McCarron shot 10\/13 from the field, with all his buckets coming from two-point territory, as the crafty point punished the opposition inside. Many of his points came in the form of second-chance buckets, with McCarron pulling down nine offensive rebounds, which almost proved to be the difference for the home side. It was his strongest performance of the season, and allowed some recognition for one of the league’s most unheralded players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Frazier<\/a> – Illawarra Hawks<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Illawarra Hawks could not quite get the job done against the Cairns Taipans<\/a>, but Frazier’s impact since joining the team continues to shine through. The former Wildcat has been excellent since signing with Illawarra, and his hot form culminated in a season-best performance in Saturday’s overtime loss. He had a game-high 26 points on 10\/18 shooting from the field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being the match’s top scorer is extremely impressive given the talent on the court across both sides, and he displayed excellent stamina, playing nearly 46 minutes. However, the fatigue did not affect the import, who still nailed six threes and pulled down eight rebounds in the process, proving he has a massive impact on the team’s prospects moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
