EASTERN Mavericks guard Taylah Levy <\/strong>delivered a magnificent performance to help lead her side to a massive win over the Woodville Warriors in the NBL1 Central Women’s over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite both sides struggling during the 2023 fixture, the Warriors came into Saturday night’s game at St Francis de Sales Community Sports Centre as the favourites, given they had secured four wins compared to Eastern’s one. Although they had the home court advantage, the Mavericks would have needed to produce one of their best performances of the season to get over the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luckily for Eastern, that is exactly how it ended up panning out. The Mavericks jumped the opposition in the opening quarter, outscoring them 29-14 in the first term. It was reflective of how the rest of the match would play out, with the Mavericks taking a 35-point lead into the main change en route to winning all four quarters and claiming a 63-point victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levy was undoubtedly the star of the show for the Mavericks, stuffing the stat sheet and delivering a dominant individual display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levy stood above the rest as the Warriors were dismantled by the Mavericks in a dominant display, as the multi-sport talent did a bit of everything for the victors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It comes as no surprise that her 35 points was a game-high total, leading the way on the scoring front with a strong level of accuracy helping guide this performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 of her 21 points found the bottom of the net, as she torched the defence with her ability to score across all three levels. Despite a variety of matchups, the Warriors had no answers for Levy’s confident and successful scoring mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was also one of the stronger rebounders in the match, doing all of her damage on the defensive end as she swooped on opposition misses on six occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite such a strong scoring performance, Levy was able to get plenty of her Eastern teammates involved with some savvy passing over the course of the match. She recorded a match-high 10 dimes and helped the likes of Jannon Otto<\/strong> (20 points) and Olivia Bradley <\/strong>(19 points) get involved on the offensive end as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the performance of the round in the NBL1 Central Women’s from Levy, who was a major force in getting the Mavericks to their second win of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
